You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on JAYthaRipper requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. DPRoberts534 (talk) 05:26, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

September 2013[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page JAYthaRipper has been reverted.
Your edit here to JAYthaRipper was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/JAYthaRipper360WA) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. JAYthaRipper[edit]

My apologies for tagging your article for speedy deletion. I should have waited for you to add more content. Please read up on the criteria for notable musicians (WP:MUSICBIO) and make sure you have included the necessary detail to establish notability. If you cannot establish notability, Wikipedia cannot include an article on this artist. Also the messages posted to Talk:JAYthaRipper give the impression that you logged out of your account to give the impression of support from multiple editors for keeping your article. That would not be an acceptable use of your account. Please go to the talk page and delete the second message. DPRoberts534 (talk) 07:10, 15 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits to Mars (rapper) has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:1JAY7, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Look, you are not yet notable enough to be in an encyclopedia. If you continued to re-create this spam, you will end up being blocked from editing this project. Stop ... seriously ES&L 12:18, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Where do I make a Music Artist wiki at?[edit]

I do not understand why I have sen so many other music wikis but mine keeps getting deleted, what other site do I use other than wiki?

Wikipedia is not a webhosting service, we are an encyclopedia of notable topics. Go pay for a website somewhere ES&L 12:21, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I get that you are discriminating on JAYthaRipper[edit]

Where else is there for me to create something similar to a Wikipedia page?

I have seen other underground Artists have less resource information than I do, I have tons of references if you would give me time enough to edit them, but since wiki is not patient, where do you suggest I list external links and stuff like this in a similar layout? I've spent hours getting this stuff ready, I just don't understand how it is not relevant enough for wikipedia

Three things:
  1. stop making new sections - this is all part of the same discussion
  2. Wikipedia's notability requirements for musicians are not optional
  3. When you signed up to this PRIVATE website, you agreed to all the rules - including that you cannot promote or write about yourself or write about topics where you have conflict of interest.
When you become appropriately notable, someone else will write about you - until that day, nobody ever should. Yeah, we have craploads of articles that should also be deleted, and we will eventually ... there's 4.4 million articles. Please click ALL the bluelinks you have been provided so that you can appropriately learn ... I don't give those out just for practice ES&L 12:29, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

My bad then , I did not see that specified... It seems unfair that wiki is so prejudice against certain things that get posted, my links are reliable, and valid. But I guess wiki is all about what its "admins" think is significant. Sorry I wasted time coming to this website

and I've wasted hours . . . hours. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1JAY7 (talkcontribs)

What is "Notable Enough for Wiki"?[edit]

How does one know when they are notable enough to create a Wiki...?

I have enough information to make a page, I have seen wikis about individuals, and even wikis about Albums, I am an Artist trying to list albums, collaborations, future projects, interviews and other things that should be documented for reference here, I have seen many other musicians around my level and I would like to know how I can get someone to host my information like theirs was. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 1JAY7 (talkcontribs)

  • "Where else is there for me to create something similar to a Wikipedia page?" For goodness sake! There are hundreds of places offering free or very cheap web hosting - wix springs to mind as one such. As to allegations of discrimination: I hasten to say that this is nothing personal - we actively discriminate against all people who blatantly self-promote. Be assured that when you become notable, someone with no COI will write about you here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:49, 20 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
