File copyright problem with File:Rotate.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Rotate.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. — neuro(talk)(review) 21:16, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Great Job[edit]

I took care of the 2008 in Hip Hop page, while you are doing a great job with the 2009 in hip hop page. What I did, is went to hiphopdx.com and just went through http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news that page and found anything that had impacted the hip hop scene at least a little. Problem is, I just got a new job, and a lot of stuff has been happening recently with everything. I'll try to keep up the page tho.Y5nthon5a (talk) 21:46, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Wikipedia Reviewer.svg

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 02:10, 18 June 2010 (UTC)

March 2011[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to On the Floor. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 22:32, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Jimjones-perfectday.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jimjones-perfectday.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:07, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited B.o.B production discography, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kutta (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Replaceable fair use File:BlackHippy.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:BlackHippy.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 18:10, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

"Round of Applause"[edit]

I have addressed the issue on the B.o.B discography talk page.--¿3family6 contribs 00:41, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

ASAP Ferg[edit]

If you think about it why would it be the standard version that is charting (6 months after release), and not the remix which has been released recently along with the music video and has been pushed to radio. It does not make sense that the solo version rather than the one with ASAP Rocky, Schoolboy Q and French Montana would be charting. Sometimes Billboard does not detonate that a single is the "remix", or sometimes use the sales figures for both versions of the song for one charting. Just think about it. STATic message me! 03:35, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Yes even with that example it was not even detonated as a remix. I have seen many cases where Billboard has not credited featured artists. It just makes much more sense that it would be the remix, I mean that is the much more recent version (being released to iTunes, radio and being promoted). I mean the original version was released to iTunes in January 2013 (being premiered much before that), why would it barely be charting now rather than the recent version. Hey 1Sire

I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :).

So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere.

What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default.

The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page.

Consequence[edit]

Hey, thanks for catching that. I am not that familiar with his career, and the Associated acts is also supposed to summarize the article like the rest of the infobox. If you read the article I do not think Cudi is mentioned once, and by reading it it seems only his first appearance was on A Tribe Called Quest song, and the group broke up shortly after that. I assumed someone was just trying to get big time names in the section. STATic message me! 14:24, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

Unrelated issue but I did not feel the need to make a new section - I noticed you have been editing the T.I. discography quite a bit recently, and I was going to say if you have time you might want to move all the singles such as; "No Matter What", "What's Up, What's Happening", "Bet I", "Trap Back Jumpin" etc. to the main singles section rather than the promotional singles section, as they do not meet the definition of a promotional single as they were all released for retail sale to iTunes as singles. I am not sure who originally moved them there, but their are quite a lot that are real singles in the "promotional singles" section. I am only asking since you have been editing the page quite a bit. If you ignore this or do not do it, it's cool I guess I will eventually get around to it, its just moving that much around in the discography can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but I would appreciate it. Orphaned non-free media (File:Bob-all-i-want.jpg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading File:Bob-all-i-want.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 19:46, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

January 2014[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Satellite Flight: Journey to Mother Moon a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. STATic message me! 08:14, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you have been adding your signature to some of your edits to articles, such as the edit you made to Template:Shawty Lo. This is a common mistake to make and has probably already been corrected. Please do not sign your edits to article content, as the article's edit history serves the function of attributing contributions, so you only need to use your signature to make discussions more readable, such as on article talk pages or project pages such as the Village Pump. If you would like further information about distinguishing types of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thank you for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. T.I. album title stylization[edit]

You're a big T.I. fan (as am I) so I'm sure you've noticed that "The Motion Picture" was dropped from the album title (not on amazon, iTunes or cover art) so I tried to move th page to simply Paperwork (T.I. album) but I can't do that because there are so many re-directs. Can you help me move the page? BlaccCrab (talk) 09:11, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

Machine Gun Kelly[edit]

He has been known by that name for most of his career, and this is how he is currently known. As far as that name being not "marketable," show me ONE Wikipedia policy or guideline which states that "marketability" (a subjective term anyway) should have ANY meaning as far as naming convention goes.
