Hello, I'm XLinkBot. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Granville, New South Wales, because it seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you.
Your edit here to Granville, New South Wales was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/guinan.andrew) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 05:45, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Hot Stop 03:25, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Someone from this IP address has edited the Melbourne derby page to show Harry Kewell having played for both Melbourne Heart F.C. and Melbourne Victory F.C.. This has been reverted by another user because this violates one of Wikipedia's policies WP:CRYSTALBALL. The possibility remains that Kewell might not represent Melbourne Heart in a derby, so adding him to the list of players who have played (past tense) is premature. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as User talk:HiLo48 are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. No hooligans please[edit]

Calling someone or some people "hooligans" is a breach of Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons.

If you read that policy, you will see the following:

"Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced – whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable – should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion. Users who persistently or egregiously violate this policy may be blocked from editing."

So, see the section title. HiLo48 (talk) 03:35, 14 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You're wrong HiLo48 - see my edit summary. Also familiarise yourself with List of hooligan firms and Football hooliganism. The term is not being used in a derogatory sense, rather describing the types of activities the group partake in. The article is not a biography, re-read the policy. You might also want to familiarise yourself with WP:GOAWAY and WP:POLICYNERD
