If you made changes to a Wikipedia article and those changes were reverted by another editor, your efforts not lost, and can be recovered. For any article, View history - top menu - calls up history of changes, and prev - left side - shows the edits that were made. You could, for example, copy those into your own Sandbox to work on later. The problem with being an expert (many of us are), is that Wikipedia will not accept content that is true if it is not verified by references from reliable sources. I've referenced my own work in the past (clinical trial articles in sci journals) only to have it deleted as not complying with WP:MEDRS.
