Hello – just wanted to give you a heads up about WP:ENGVAR, Wikipedia's policy on varieties of English used in articles.

The basic gist is that unless the subject matter is about something location-specific that's tied to a variety of English (i.e. an article about an American town having American English), or an article uses more of one type than another and needs unifying throughout, there's no reason to change an article's variety of English. One type is not favoured over the other, and if an article uses one variety throughout, there's frequently no basis for that to be changed.

I hope this helps, and happy editing!—Ineffablebookkeeper (talk) ({{ping}} me!) 14:42, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Flip flap (association football), you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 06:05, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
