Katy ISD schools

Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia!

This may be confusing for you, but not all Katy ISD schools serve the City of Katy. The City of Katy itself is a small area in the western portion of Greater Katy and has about 20,000 people or so. Most of the areas with "Katy, Texas" postal addresses are actually unincorporated areas, places not in the city limits of any city, in Harris County and Fort Bend Counties.

TLDR: Only a few Katy ISD schools actually serve the City of Katy city limits. If you want to add a new school, make sure it's inside the city limits (use Google Maps and search for "Katy, Texas" to find the city limits outline) and/or serves the city limits (see http://www.katyisd.org/Pages/sara.aspx which has a map feature)
