January 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm The1337gamer. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Super Mario Odyssey, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. February 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to List of party video games. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.  AJFU  (talk) 17:26, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Super Mario Odyssey. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. The1337gamer (talk) 17:59, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your edit to Mario Party (video game)[edit]

Hello anon.,

Your recent edit to Mario Kart Wii has been reverted, because it was not referenced and was also not grammatically correct. If you believe the edit was constructive, discuss it on my or Mario Kart Wii's talk page. If you need a space to work on an article, you can use the sandbox. If you need help writing, editing, reviewing or doing anything to a video games article, contact me on my talk page and I'd be glad to help.

I can also see you've had cases of not referencing information in the past. I can show you how it works:

STEP 1) Write the sentence.

  • Horizon: Zero Dawn was praised by critics, with review aggregate Metacritic giving it a score of 89 based on 114 critics.

STEP 2) Ensure the information is correct.

STEP 3) Find a website that supports the information. (The website must be reliable).

STEP 4) Click the end of your sentence and then click the 'cite' button on the toolbar. The cite button is right from the 'link' button and left from the 'list' button.

  • Horizon: Zero Dawn was praised by critics, with review aggregate Metacritic giving it a score of 89 based on 114 critics.[CLICK]

STEP 5) Click the 'Automatic' tab and paste in the URL of the website that you found.

STEP 6) Click the 'Generate' button and wait for it to generate the reference. Then, click 'Insert'.

STEP 7) The end of the sentence should now have a number in square brackets on the end of it, or some code if you are using the source editor. The reference should also appear at the bottom of the article in the 'References' section, as it has done with this message.

  • Horizon: Zero Dawn was praised by critics, with review aggregate Metacritic giving it a score of 89 based on 114 critics.[1]

We use references to determine whether a claim is correct or not, and for readers to see the source of claims. For more information, contact me on my talk page or visit Wikipedia:Citing sources.
