Major depressive disorder[edit]

I reverted your nutrition section. The problem was two-fold. First, and less importantly, please learn how to do citations in medical articles. See WP:CITET, or just look at some medical articles that are Features, like Alzheimer's disease. Second, you cherry picked a bunch articles to support a fringe idea in MDD. Furthermore, you really need to review WP:MEDRS. We deprecate primary studies, which you used in bunches. Find a good review article that supports these ideas, and maybe it should be included. I've found major review studies that specifically reject the hypothesis that some of the nutrients have any value whatsoever in MDD. For example, this review in one the most respected meta review groups, states that there is hardly any evidence that omega-3 fatty acids have an effect on depression symptoms in bipolar disorder. Cochrane has a bunch more articles that say the same thing. SkepticalRaptor (talk) 19:19, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

By the way, do not reply to this discussion. on my user talk page. I'll just delete it, because that's not where conversations belong. Reply here if you choose, I watch your page. Preferably, bring it to the Talk:Major depressive disorder, where a broader base of editors can be involved. SkepticalRaptor (talk) 19:21, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi 4three2one I just wanted to encourage you. I know if feels bad, very bad, when you get knocked back on here! But actually the system is good; you may be very sensible and wellmeaning, but many people who might try to put stuff up on Wiki might not be. The plan is to only put up what you can back up with scientific research. Over time, as you come across more research, you can put up more stuff. Food impacts on mental health are a very interesting area, and I'm really looking forward to what you put up. All the best (JCJC777 (talk) 13:19, 25 November 2012 (UTC))
