Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD! -- Asher Heimermann 06:02, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Brisbane Broncos[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you added a section major rivalries to the Brisbane Broncos article, but a citation of reliable sources was not included. To make sure that all information on Wikipedia is verifiable and accurate, can you add the appropriate reference? Thanks! +A.0u 02:05, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

AFL/Rugby links[edit]

Can I please ask why did you add links to rugy and AFL articles to Australian Idol 2003 and the others when they have little or no relevance to the music contest. Please reply to me why it is appropriate to include them, otherwise I will have to remove them. Thanks. RaNdOm26 04:58, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Michael Hagan[edit]

Information.svg Your edits on Michael Hagan require sources!
You recently made edits to the Michael Hagan article. You added unsourced statements, which may be removed at any time. Please add reliable citations to your edits recently made on Michael Hagan to make sure your contributions stay on the Michael Hagan article. If you would like to experiment please use the Sandbox. SpecialWindler talk 06:11, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
"After a match between Hagan's Eels and former Eels mentor Jason Taylor's Rabbitohs, won by the Eels 18-12, Hagan was involved in a post-match altercation with the former Eels halfback. Taylor claimed that Hagan had stuffed up what was on offer at Parramatta, and former Eels coach and now Knights coach Brian Smith had fixed up "what Hagan had f---ed up at Newcastle". Taylor also challenged Hagan to win games without Andrew Johns. Interestingly enough, Hagan said: "At least we won without Joey"."

Seven News[edit]

Good evening, You must have proof of your edits. Do not make comments on ratings and New Newsreaders until you have proof. You will need sources like newspaper articles, such as that seen with Jessica Rowe. Otherwise don't put them on. Thank you Alltrainzfan 11:07, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

And you do not need to be putting edits about where studios were moved etc. on Seven News page. The page is already cluttered as it is. It has been mentioned in History, and this info belongs on the pages of the Sydney Studios. Others have felt the need for extra edits to be reverted are similar to the addition of fill in presenters - they take up extra room, and are belong elsewhere.

Thank you, Alltrainzfan (talk) 09:52, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

January 2008[edit]

Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Stadium Australia, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add your reference to the article. Thank you. . Cheers_Ad@m.J.W.C. (talk) 12:04, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Bill Woods do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: 'youtube\.com' (link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vdt_yCf73zc) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image or a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

Your edits to 1953[edit]

Dear 60.241.50.228,
Information.svg Some of your edits on the page 1953 have been undone by PseudoBot, a robot built to keep the date pages tidy. The problems are:

No Wikipedia page has been linked to.

If a Wikipedia page for the person already exists, add a link to it (by putting it in doubled square brackets [[Like this]]) and try again. If it doesn't yet exist, read this page carefully before creating it. In particular, you shouldn't create a page about yourself or anyone you know personally. If this bot has got it wrong (as can unfortunately happen), please accept its author's apologies, and (if you would like) leave a message on this talk page with the details, so it can be improved.
