Welcome[edit]

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, such as the one you made in PHP. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. If you edit without a username, your IP address (64.140.251.226) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! Please use preview[edit]

Please use the preview function when making several small edits to a page in a short amount of time, so as not to clutter up the page history. Thanks. IByte (talk) 12:41, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

November 2008[edit]

Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to NATO phonetic alphabet, did not appear to be constructive and has been removed. Please go away and read the information from authoritative sources such as the ITU, rather than editing without quoting a source for your changes.

Account[edit]

I've noticed that you've recently been making great contributions to Wikipedia and wondered if you'd considered creating an account? Happy editing! Greg Tyler (tc) 20:10, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. -Fnlayson (talk) 17:25, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Hi[edit]

Hi. I've noticed some of your edits, and they've been very helpful, thanks! You might consider creating an account to edit. A couple things: per Wikipedia guidelines, we spell out numbers under ten in prose, and we do not put commas between the month and the year (so it would be November 2009, not November, 2009). Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 23:09, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

July 2010[edit]

If you do not provide verification nor use cites, summaries or edit comments, you will be reverted, regardless of the usefulness of your submissions. FWiW Bzuk (talk) 14:36, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

March 2011[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Nem1yan (talk) 17:25, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Open Letter to Hobbyists article[edit]

In editing the article Open Letter to Hobbyists, you added a [sic] tag after the clause "different than." This is a widely used clause in North American English, and is recognized as grammatically acceptable by the OED and the Chicago Manual of Style. I am leaving this extraordinary message for you, because you ostensibly edit with a focus on making grammatical changes. 24.16.133.58 (talk) 09:36, 6 July 2011 (UTC)

August 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm Lugia2453. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions to René Goguen because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Lugia2453 (talk) 18:23, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

November 2012[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Air New Zealand Flight 901 does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Jetstreamer Talk 19:03, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
