Empirical formula[edit]

Regarding your recent edits, I think you're confused about the meaning of the term "empirical formula". Check out that page to see what that term means (it's not the same as "molecular formula" for covalent compounds) and therefore why it is not correct to use the term "empirical" when saying (for example) naphthalene is C10H8. Hello, thanks for your edits cleaning up various articles in Wikipedia. You may not be aware that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that is our style guide to editing articles. In particular by community-wide consensus we have adopted "logical punctuation" which, briefly, puts punctuation marks outside of quotation marks unless they are part of a direct quote. You can read more about that here. If you have any questions or comments you can reach me on my talk page. Thanks. SQGibbon (talk) 21:57, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Again, Wikipedia has a style guide it follows which you can find here. One part of it is that we use "logical" or "British" punctuation. Regardless of how you might feel about that particular style we all must follow it while editing Wikipedia. Blatantly disregard the Manual of Style like you did with these edits here and here will be seen as disruptive behavior. Thanks. SQGibbon (talk) 16:40, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
I have reverted your edits at LA Reid, and like SQGibbon find them disruptive. Your talk page shows you seem to have problems understanding the basics of editing at Wikipedia. In addition to the Manual of Style, you may wish to review Help:Wikipedia: The Missing Manual. Jusdafax 17:07, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that we all follow. In particular you seem eager to violate the guidelines with respect to punctuation which you can read about here as you did in your edits here and here. If you continue with your disruptive editing you will be blocked. Thanks. SQGibbon (talk) 18:15, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

June 2011[edit]

This is your last warning; the next time you violate Wikipedia's Manual of Style by using disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Emergency!, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. SQGibbon (talk) 21:14, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

July 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Hanoi Hilton, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. SQGibbon (talk) 15:51, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Ramen. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. SQGibbon (talk) 15:51, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

This is your last warning; the next time you make disruptive edits to Wikipedia contrary to the Manual of Style, as you did at Joseph D. Pistone, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. SQGibbon (talk) 15:54, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at The Incredible Hulk (TV series), you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. We've been through all this time and time again, please stop violating the Wikipedia Manual of Style. Also, we use a "—" instead of a "--". SQGibbon (talk) 20:18, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
