Thanks for your contributions to the Sonny Russo article. However, I'm concerned that no reliable sources are reporting his death. Unless we can refer to an obituary or a newspaper article confirming the death, we cannot include it in Wikipedia. We adhere to this policy, among other reasons, to ensure that we don't help propagate hoaxes. Pburka (talk) 03:37, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
I don't know exactly the correct way to respond to this message. I attempted to contact Mr. Russo about 3 weeks ago and received a voice message from a sobbing family member that stated he had died on February 23. (AJC)
I understand your dilemma, and I'm sure that you're earnest in your intentions. However I hope that you also understand our need to be responsible and to ensure that all information, especially about living people, is supported by reliable sources. Another editor has found a (weak) reference, so we are now reporting his death. If you're aware of an obituary in a newspaper or magazine we could use that to further expand the article with more details about Russo's life. Pburka (talk) 02:41, 15 March 2013 (UTC)
