Request reason:

My ISP uses dynamic IP addressing, and so it happens that I've been seemingly caught in a 6-year-old ban based on conjectures, by a user who has been suspended of his administrator rights. Particularly, this IP has no contributions, and now I'm unable to edit anything under my Wikipedia username user:Io_Katai (all I get is 'View Source'). I can't tell if the former issue is absolutely related to this ban, but I'm unable to ask the help desk either as a result. 69.158.68.37 (talk) 17:20, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Decline reason:

This IP address will not likely be unblocked, however, as noted, sign in and follow the instructions from your account for IPBE (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 20:25, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired.

I've asked a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject on open proxies to take a look at your block; the request is here. As a side note, Curps's administrative privileges were suspended due to inactivity, not misuse; he might request them back at any time. Salvio Let's talk about it! 17:30, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
You may be better off by requesting IPBE - see WP:IPBE - but you'll have to request that from your account talk page.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 18:05, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
See, the problem is, I can't edit my own account page due to this block. I also can't access the page you linked for the very same reason. (Edit: I can edit my talk page, but nothing else. I don't see how going through WP:IPBE is of any help when it tells me to just reuse this template) 69.158.68.37 (talk) 18:08, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
Simple. You use the unblock template to request IPBE on your account's talk page. (You'll need to be logged in.) —Jeremy v^_^v Components:V S M 20:19, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
