M-22[edit]

The dispute over the trademark on the M-22 marker has been intentionally omitted from the article on the highway. Past consensus is that it is not germane to an article on the highway, but it would be germane to an article on the company. Further, if this position were reversed, it would be better to include a single mention in the already existing section of the article about cultural references. Imzadi 1979  01:07, 3 November 2016 (UTC)

Past consensus? This antedates the NPR piece. 7&6=thirteen () 03:40, 3 November 2016 (UTC)

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Scale of justice 2.svg Hello, 7&6=thirteen. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Your username[edit]

You may want to change your username. It appears to be causing trouble when it's used in a {{yo}}-type template. See, for example, WP:RPP#Vitamin C (singer). If you have the correct settings on, it says in large red letters: Error in Template:Reply to: Username not given. My guess would be that the = sign is throwing it off since that's used to declare parameter names. The template sees the parameter |7&6=thirteen and, because the template doesn't have the parameter name (|7&6=) in the template code, it doesn't do anything with it. Hence, the "Username not given" error. Gestrid (talk) 07:32, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

User:Gestrid, Thank you for the note. I appreciate the 'heads up.' The problem does occur occasionally. However, I went to the link you supplied WP:RPP#Vitamin C (singer) and didn't observe the error — large red letters: Error in Template:Reply to: Username not given. — you report.
I do know that Ping doesn't work, but that User:7&6=thirteen gets to me. So there are problems, known and unknown.
I was grandfathered in to this user name format a very long time ago. After 9 years and nearly 100K edits I am not easily persuaded to give up my Wikipedia identity, FWIW. Best regards. 7&6=thirteen () 12:03, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

Sorry[edit]

Hi, 7&6! Sorry for referring to you as "they" at the Drmies talk page. I'll know better next time. Also, a suggestion: when you have a "hot and happening now" vandalism situation at a page, feel free to call my attention to it at my talk page (assuming you first check my contributions to make sure that I am online). Or do the same with any other currently online admin. That can get action a lot faster than requesting at WP:RFPP, where the wait for a response is commonly hours. --MelanieN (talk) 17:53, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

I'll keep that in mind. WP:PP was just an afterthought; I would almost never try to invoke it regarding a WP:User page, unless we have a persistent WP:Sock or whatever exigent circumstance might demand it. I regularly go to WP:AIV, and give them an apt description that gets quick attention. Been doing this awhile so I know the hurdles and the drill. Best to you. 7&6=thirteen () 18:42, 26 November 2016 (UTC)

Your revert[edit]

Why did you revert this edit? I didn't change any of the content (contrary to your edit summary), and I explained quite clearly why I removed most of the citations. Most of the citations fail verification, and it's citation overkill to list so many tangentially-related sources. Why did you reinstate citations that fail verification?
