December 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Wtmitchell. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Leonard W. Riches, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 02:36, 22 December 2013 (UTC)

Please do not link directly to books at Amazon.com[edit]

Hi there. Thanks for your efforts at William Whitaker (theologian) and Alexander Nowell. I have removed the links to books at Amazon.com. Wikipedia does not in general permit direct links to a for-profit bookseller. Links to free onlone resources, or general links, e.g. to Worldcat, are permitted and encouraged.

Links should also be formatted properly, as references instead of inline text, and using the template:cite book instead of a raw URL.

In general, you should cite references when adding new material. I did not revert you major changes to the Whittaker article, but other editors may choose to do so.

I'm interested in your qualification of the term "Anglican." You changed this to "Protestant, Reformed, Calvinistic and Anglican." Is the the name of a particular Anglican sect, or a series of qualifiers to "Anclican", or a list of different sects that Whitaker belonged to at different times? Do you have references? Thanks. -Arch dude (talk) 23:09, 24 December 2013 (UTC)

May 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Reginald Pole may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s and 1 "<>"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • br>[[Matthew Parker]]<br>{{small|in the [[Church of England]]}}}}

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 16:37, 31 May 2014 (UTC)
