Perth TL[edit]

Have you actually got a source for the TCWC Perth tropical low, as far as i can see there is only one tropical low at the moment which is primarily Darwins.Jason Rees (talk) 23:22, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

??? Even if both agencies are monitoring the same tropical low, don't we usually name if after the agency that first mentioned the storm? 72.197.241.195 (talk) 23:28, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
We shouldn't be naming tropical lows at all unless we have either a U number or the JTWC have initiated advisories, per the rules on Original Research.Jason Rees (talk) 23:48, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
I didn't name the storm. It was originally named "January Perth Tropical Low."72.197.241.195 (talk) 23:49, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
I didnt say you did name the system, i said that we need a source that talks about a tropical low within TCWC Perths AoR, as the only one i can see is currently in TCWC Darwins AOR.
I see. But if it is the case, why did someone name it this way in the first place?72.197.241.195 (talk) 00:08, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
I dont know.Jason Rees (talk) 00:24, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

FYI[edit]

Regarding this edit, while your source clearly says that Sandra was a TC on the 15th, there are two things i need to point out. 1) The source is based on Australian EST which i think is 10/11 hours behind UTC and we distinctly use UTC for some reason. 2) TCWC Wellington (Met Service) were in charge of Sandra, when it left the tropics not TCWC Brisbane.Jason Rees (talk) 00:32, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

Oh. I didn't know that. 72.197.241.195 (talk) 06:05, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
