Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Christmas are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. I undid your addition to the Horus article today and explained the reasons why in the edit summary. We have a had a lot of problems with material being added by well meaning editors acting in good faith with material that does not check out with academic sources. If you have a look at the talk page of the article you will get some understanding why such material is not acceptable. You are new to Wikipedia so you may not have fully understood why your addition was reverted. Before adding it again could you please provide the needed scholarly references or discuss it on the articles talk page with other contributors who can give you advice if you are unsure about anything. The links given at the top of this page explains how Wikipedia works and how to add refs etc. Taam (talk) 20:50, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
I undid yet another addition to the Horus article. You were asked to not add unsourced material. If it keeps up, you may start receiving warnings, escalating to a possible block. Jru Gordon (talk) 21:28, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with to the page Talk:Christmas. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Fieldday-sunday (talk) 21:37, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
