Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Los Angeles runway disaster, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. – dudhhr talk contribs (he/they) 03:32, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. – dudhhr talk contribs (he/they) 03:33, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Are killed"

[edit]

Hello. I notice that in a number of aircraft crash articles you have changed died to are killed. As a general rule we are not writing these articles in that sort of pretend-present tense, like a historical news story (or something!), so I feel that this is inappropriate. A lot of what we do here works on WP:CONSENSUS and, judging by this are killed thing and the warnings above, this is something to which, with the greatest of respect, I think you need to pay close attention. The established style of an article does matter, and it doesn't often work out well if we simply seek to change it to our own preference, over what was previously there. If you just continue editing against consensus I fear that there is a real risk – see the last warning above – that you will get blocked by an admin seeking to minimize disruption to the encyclopaedia. I hope this helps; with all good wishes DBaK (talk) 13:05, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

December 2022

[edit]

Information icon Hi 76.169.68.129! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Linate Airport disaster several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Linate Airport disaster, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. DBaK (talk) 22:30, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Linate Airport disaster. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Denisarona (talk) 08:09, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Northwest Airlines Flight 255. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. The changes you made to this article were not at all helpful. You created multiple grammar errors, including a sentence fragment and an inexplicable switch to present tense. If English is not your first language, I recommend you contribute to the Wikipedia in your native language. Thanks. Julietdeltalima (talk) 00:36, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Linate Airport disaster, you may be blocked from editing. You really do not appear to have the English-language competency necessary to edit English Wikipedia; almost every edit you make creates grammar errors. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at United Airlines Flight 232, you may be blocked from editing. per the article notes, that figure includes a person who died days later, so adding "in the accident" to the article is false Echoedmyron (talk) 16:16, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
