July 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Racerx11. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Lake Baikal that didn't seem very civil, so it has been removed. Wikipedia needs people like you and me to collaborate, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. RacerX11 Talk to meStalk me 14:04, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Lake Baikal[edit]

Please see Drainage basin and see the watershed map to the left of the infobox at the article. The infobox parameter 'basin_countries' is intended to list countries that are part of the lake's drainage basin. It is not talking about the location of the lake itself. Personally I think the parameter is over used, but in this case it is used properly and supplies the reader with additional information, though it is easily vulnerable to misinterpretation as your contributions have made all too clear. Hope this helps. Thanks. --RacerX11 Talk to meStalk me 14:12, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Update: Please see my posts at Talk:Lake Baikal. I have noticed that was no location description in the infobox and that is understandably part of the problem. I have added that in and also added back Mongolia back into the basin countries here. Hope this takes care of everything. Sorry for the numerous edits to your page. I was having trouble with the PA warning template. I don't know if there's a template that handles edit summary comments so the template still appears nonsensical because the comment was not nor cannot be removed by a non-sysop. Anyway thanks for bringing this to attention because otherwise I would not have noticed the lack of a infobox location. Have a nice day! ;-) --RacerX11 Talk to meStalk me 14:52, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

There have been no less than three separate explanations given to you about this: In an edit summary; at the article talk page; and here at your own talk page; yet you continue to make the same incorrect change to the article. A drainage basin, and the difference between a basin and the lake, are not difficult concepts to grasp. Please stop removing Mongolia from the article. --RacerX11 Talk to meStalk me 14:11, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
