The year length of 365.25 days is not imprecise. It is the Julian year, and formulas in astronomy such as calculating the length of the tropical year assume Julian years and centuries. Saros136 (talk) 07:40, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
More than 360 degrees.
There is such a thing as changing 360 degrees, and even more. Rotating 360° is different than rotating 720° or 0°. And some of the formulas in, say, Astronomical Algorithms , by Jean Meeus. So it makes sense to speak of a longitude increasing 360°
More important is the concept of a rate of change. You calculate the rate of change at one instant, and calculate the length of time required for the longitude to change 360° at that given instantaneous rate. The actual rate will have changed during that time.
