Welcome[edit]

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. If you edit without a username, your IP address (86.1.249.35) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on this page. Again, welcome! There is - of course - a certain difference between a so-called promotional single and an album-spwaned single such as "Talk About Our Love", "Who Is She 2 U" ... "Turn It Up" has never had an official release or anything like that, and thus does not qualify for the single template - Noboyo

Warning

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. Noboyo 20:35, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

"do not technically violate the three-revert rule." - and you did. Noboyo
Nope. You do what you want anyhow - Noboyo

July 2008[edit]

Stop hand nuvola.svg This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as the one you made to Headstrong (album). If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. KnowledgeOfSelf | talk 01:38, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Information.png Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Take Me Away (Avril Lavigne song) has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. RedThunder 12:49, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Sorry about that, didn't see your summary. It is better to keep this material though, because someone could source it. RedThunder 19:00, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

X[edit]

The reference you provided is not justification for "X" selling one million copies worldwide, based on a report of "nearly..." back in April. There is no official source from any news outlers, EMI Music Group or Minogue's team that states that X has sold one million units worldwide, thus the reason why your reference cannot be used for valiadation. Alkclark (talk) 00:13, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Uncontroversial statements[edit]

Please stop. Not every statement needs to be sourced. Uncontroversial captions like the ones now present do not need sourcing. There is no need at all to clutter the page with frivolous fact tags. S. Dean Jameson 23:01, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

August 2008[edit]

Information.svg Thank you for making a report about 98.226.196.68 (talk · contribs · block log) on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned hadn't been active in several hours so wasn't subject to a block. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If they continue to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you! Toddst1 (talk) 17:30, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information.svg Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test on the page X (Kylie Minogue album) worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox. As per previous edit summary notes, a sales total should be included when a figure is given by a third party reliable source, not copies shipped or estimations KM*hearts*MC (talk) 20:15, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

As I stated above, I was following the linear notes in the edit summaries.

14:16, 11 August 2008 Dancefloor royalty (Talk | contribs) (35,757 bytes) (please do not include sales total until their is an article from a reliable third party source stating albums sold, not shipped) (undo)

. After looking again, it seems that several editors (over the course of three months) have removed this information several times, thus I think that its is agreed (or has been agreed) that this information shouldn't be included until there is something along the lines of "According to EMI, "X" has sold over one million copies worldwide" or "Parlophone reports that...". Not sure but I think that is what other editors are looking for. Not sure. This seems like a discussion for the talk page. KM*hearts*MC (talk) 20:29, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Good Girl Gone Bad discussion[edit]

If you would, please take part in the discussion at Talk:Good_Girl_Gone_Bad#Edit_warring, to help resolve issues as to why there is edit warring going on; even if you agree with how the page looks at the moment, discussing this with dissenting editors will keep the article stable once it is unprotected. Thank you, -- Natalya 19:20, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

September 2008[edit]

Information.png Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Hilary Duff discography has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you.
