Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing an article on Wikipedia, you will see a small field labeled "Edit summary" shown under the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Hello, I'm Aurora2698. An edit you recently made to Tintagel seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Aurora (talk | contribs) 12:28, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Avalon. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. RileyBugz会話投稿記録 20:39, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Avalon. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 00:54, 18 October 2017 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

I don't. --94.246.150.68 (talk) 00:55, 18 October 2017 (UTC)

Yes it did 'appear constructive". --94.246.150.68 (talk) 19:28, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

Merlin (poem)[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

You have already violated WP:3RR - look at the edit history of the named article. Atsme📞📧 21:46, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

And if you looked at it, you'd see I was reverting accidental vandalisms (by the people who also don't look at what they do). Also only twice and not 3 times. --94.246.150.68 (talk) 21:47, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. See IP:94.246.150.68 - 3RR Merlin (poem) Atsme📞📧 22:33, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

I withdrew the 3RR because I believe you mean well, but are simply not familiar with protocol. Before you start reverting, please discuss on the talk page of the article before reverting big blocks of text. On WP, collaboration is a priority. Atsme📞📧 01:27, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

October 2017[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Merlin (poem), please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "save page" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. You have made over 100 edits in a row to that page according to its edit history. Please try using the preview button to make sure that the small edits become one single revision to the page. A barnstar for you![edit]

Editors Barnstar Hires.png The Editor's Barnstar
This barnstar is for your excellent work on Merlin (poem). Regrets over the shaky start but I do hope it served to encourage you to start a discussion on the talk page of articles you intend to rework. There are also templates you can use at the top of the article to make others aware the article is in the process of being expanded. See Template:Under_construction.
Happy editing! Atsme📞📧 09:27, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

Thanks! That template might come in handy, but here every time I make an edit it's like "aaaand that's last edit, no really, this time for real". OK, just no more edits there. :) --94.246.150.68 (talk) 09:29, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

Just a heads up - I mentioned my concern about copyvio implications to Dodger67 - he approved the article before I had a chance to check it this morning - so I'm waiting for his reply. You may need to make changes and not include so much of the interview - maybe a quote or two - 97% is unacceptable. Atsme📞📧 13:22, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

Done. --94.246.150.68 (talk) 14:19, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

Suggestion[edit]

Based on what I've seen of your work, may I suggest that you change from the IP name and pick a fun, easy name we can all remember so you can enjoy all the benefits that come with an anonymous User ID in lieu of an anonymous IP? Regards, anonymously Atsme📞📧 15:51, 23 October 2017 (UTC)

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Silent Service II, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. It did appear super constructive to me. --94.246.150.68 (talk) 14:36, 4 November 2017 (UTC)

I appreciate your eagerness to help and edit wikipedia, but next time you want to remove a maintnance template such as refimprove, please read WP:MTR first. Hecseur (talk) 14:44, 4 November 2017 (UTC)

It's a tag from 5 years ago. I don't see anything at all that is not in the game manual. --94.246.150.68 (talk) 14:46, 4 November 2017 (UTC)

Well, if you know where the uncited sections of the article may be cited in the manual, I added citation needed templates in locations where there is need for them, please feel free to contribute! Hecseur (talk) 17:22, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Pssst...a user name is easy - you will still be anonymous - it just helps distinguish users who are here to help build the encyclopedia from everyday IP vandals we encounter daily - just a friendly suggestion. Atsme📞📧 22:09, 4 November 2017 (UTC)

There was no block (it was lifted and the pages were blanked); I'm currently in the process of editing Red Knight, making it a proper article at last (as I also do with lots of Arthurian articles), but was disrupted by your actual block. --94.246.150.68 (talk) 17:38, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

Administrator note: This exact IP has been blocked twice before for sockpuppetry by the same master (HanzoHattori/SNAAAAKE!!). GABgab 17:37, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

@GeneralizationsAreBad: Hey. Is it actually "sockpuppetry" when I'm openly using the same IP for 7 years? The block expired, morever the page and talk were blanked, I've been editing from it extensively for months without problems (other than pure misunderstandings, as chronicled above), someone who gave me a barnstar also kept asking me to make an account but I didn't because I'm openly just using the IP (also didn't remove the note leading to archive).

Can you let me continue my work? If not, please tell me exactly what I should do. --94.246.150.68 (talk) 17:56, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

Also if not then remove the WIP tag from Red Knight, which in this case I guess I'm not be able to finish anytime soon (or perhaps pick it up from me - there's at least 20 different Red Knights in Arthurian legends alone). --94.246.150.68 (talk) 17:57, 5 November 2017 (UTC)

A simple GF suggestion[edit]

  1. 1 - Stop digging. You do excellent work and I'd like to see you back editing and creating good articles. We need content creators.
  2. 2 - Rethink your strategy, approach it with hat in hand, mean what you say, and get this block removed. As long as you're combative, you'll stay blocked.
  3. 3 - Create User:94.246.150.68/sandbox and start working on your articles there (you can create sandbox1, sandbox2, etc.) until you figure out the best way to rejoin the community.
  4. 4 - If you don't want/like my suggestion, delete this section and I'll leave you to your own devices. Good luck! Atsme📞📧 13:24, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

I can't, I'm blocked. They won't unblock me because they hate and they're organized. I do it now for myself, I guess, I don't know. If you're actually intersted, Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Newsletter/20170102/Interview. It's my 8-year-old IP so i wasn't hiding anything for these 3 months or so, but I made a mistake to start editing video game articles again, and they' won't let me. --94.246.150.68 (talk) 19:18, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

Well, I do care and I've already expressed my thoughts about your editing ability. I'm amazed by your 6 FAs and nearly 50 GAs (earning numerous Barnstars and other awards in the process), however, I'm not surprised. I saw that talent in you from the get-go which is why I dropped the 3RR. I think you have potential to be an amazing contributor to the project if you can see past your defensiveness, and assimilate to community life. That requires some understanding of what our admins have to deal with on a daily basis - without pay. I think you're capable, but it's totally up to you to make it happen. Blocks are not punitive, they're to stop disruption. Civil communication is your best ally. Hat in hand, sincerity, a change of focus to the work, drop the defensiveness, reassure those involved that you will be an asset not an ass. The socks were a violation, but the right approach and living up to your new goals will work wonders. Put the chip that's on your shoulder in the fireplace and move on. Read the block template, and follow it - if you need my input anywhere, let me know. I will do what I can to help you. Atsme📞📧 23:48, 9 November 2017 (UTC)
