I'm pleased to see that you tried to add a source to explain your addition of Evanescence to the List of gothic rock bands. That is exactly the right way to proceed, unfortunately most people just put the band in and disappear from the site, or keep re-adding it no matter what we say on the discussion page. Unfortunately the source you linked for Evanescence doesn't describe them as a gothic rock band, but merely influenced by goth. That may refer to goth fashion, goth rock, or other goth music like darkwave or ethereal, etc. For that list we're looking specifically for goth rock bands, not ones influenced by goth rock (for example, gothic metal, or death rock, etc.) I just wanted to fill you in, in case having it removed again was frustrating. (Actually it looks like you tried it with a few bands.) - BalthCat (talk) 08:39, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
