It is absolutely fine if you have more than one mentor, in fact I think that's a good idea. Is there any particular section of Wikipedia you're interested in, for example articles or anti-vandalism? Additionally, I would be happy to review any articles you write or your edits.
Also, no, it's not necessary to have knowledge of computer languages; knowing HTML can help though. I found that as I edited more I just ended up memorizing the code I used, so pretty much it's just a matter of practicing. Happy editing, Hardtofindaname 17:28, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi, as said before also, please avoid using "respected." I am not that knowledgeable as you think! I am quite a lot younger than you. Thanks a lot for getting adopted by me as well as by Hardtofindaname. It is really good to have more than one mentor. After clicking that link I gave in my reply, type anything as "I conform your request" or whatever in increased intend (using :). But I think you needn't do that as you have already conformed your request through e-mail. I too don't know any computer language, not even HTML. I learned HTML (somewhat) after coming to wikipedia. It is not necessary to learn a language to come to wikipedia. All you need is adequate knowledge, interest, will power, and a donating heart. Welcome to my classroom. Thanks for the chicken! I do have a number of Islam related articles on my watchlist and whenever I spot vandalism I do revert it from them. What I have observed though is that since the major articles (such as Islam) are all semi-protected so the real threat to these articles is not from obvious vandalism but from systematic bias. WP:TW, WP:FRIEND

From your contributions, I see that you do all kinds of works, welcoming users, smiling at them, helping users, working on articles, etc etc. You are contributions are worthy. I keep observing your contribs, so beware (just a joke). I will give you an assessment record now and then, so that you can improve in wikipedia. I see that welcoming users and all are difficult doing manually. So, use WP:FRIEND. I have explained vandalism work in our discussion page. Please see there. After that if you are interested in doing vandalism work, please use WP:TW as it is easier to with that.

Some of the edits I would like to say about:

  • [1] Here, you have added {{subst:smile}} without creating a new section. Don't do that as it disturbs other conversations!
  • [2] It is really good that you have thanked the user for working on Indore. Please award Barnstars to the users if they have done a good thing.
  • [3] Very good that you are making people aware of importance of citing sources. Please use {{cite}} to cite sources.
  • [4] Please try to understand that after creating userboxes, please check how many people are using the userboxes. Then create a category, though no one is going to request for deleting it.
  • [5] A good userbox. Please reduce the size of the pics. E.g. [[Image:Example.png|50px]] [[Image:Example.png|25px]] etc.
  • [6] Edit summary was what which impressed me!

SineBot is a bot and you can't talk to him. Even after smiling at others, please add your signature. Please smile at others like this: {{smile| |~~~~}} the second param supports signature. After welcome templates add ~~~~.

Hi!

Well the tag "importance" has redirected to "Notability" fro some time, there are currently no articles that use "importance" so there's no point having it documented as separate. Now someone wants to reuse the template for another purpose, so I have removed it from many many lists. Incidentally a lot of other stuff on those lists is out-of-date, it is better to transclude a more central list like {{tools}} or {{Template messages}}. Cluebot archive code

Hello Abu. Here's the code (template) that you post on top of your talk page:

Feel free to use this if you prefer monthly archives. I automatically entered the archiveprefix parameter under your user name. I don't know what the format field is, but mines is Y/F. The age is how long you want the section to be on your talk paged (untouched). I think it is in hours, so the code above is set to 80 like mine. Feel free to change the age to determine how long you want the sections out of archive. I don't know what index is, but mine is set to no. The archivebox field is either a yes or a no, and determines whether or not you want the template displayed on your talk page (mine is set to yes, so you can see it on mine) but you can always change to no to disable view. The box advert is also a yes or no. It just determines whether or not you want to credit Cluebot III in the template. This is completely optional and you can always manually archive even with the bot archiving automatically. Once you place the code on your talk, Cluebot will start archiving old discussions. Ujjain:Education

I do not agree with the edits you made here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ujjain&oldid=315545743#Education If the issue is advertising then the private engineering college and medical college which you have left intact should also go...in fact only the state run Vikram University should be allowed to remain...all other private colleges have come up only in the last decade or so..hence I do not see reason in keeping some but removing others.Schools which are blatantly advertising should be removed, however I am not sure if it is appropriate to remove famous schools which have provided references too.Also, the SSLC is not a board of education, it would be more appropriate to mention MPBSE there instead.I also found the language and punctuation inappropriate Sachinsharma188 (talk) 00:15, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

1st: point i would like to take is Initially there was massive advertising by many institutes, I had removed them , & only placed those who represent Education in Ujjain. I had included all Govt Aided institutes, & case of private: If you are concerning about R.D.Gardi Medical College, & Mahakal Institute of Technology (Ujjain). The names of institutes which i had placed, are first, in order of their establishment in city, & first one in their Genre so only placed them, Also point of my description is valid in sense of neutrality & notability, as I am not saying that these 2 colleges are best. No issue over it.
2nd: Apart from these I had asked experts to check the issue. So that's why i rewritten the whole article.
3rd: In case you need to have included the FAMOUS SCHOOLS as told by you, their article already existing, me myself handling article of Saint Paul School, & ujjain public schol. you can have separate category for them ,but not to be included in This Main Article which represents the Ujjain as an Neutral entity. I had taken into consideration Articles from many cities.
4th: & one thing which you told "the SSLC is not a board of education, it would be more appropriate to mention MPBSE there instead." I do agree with you on this issue, but main thing is i was also desirable to put up MPBSE , but its a Unique term of education while SSLC is generic term, that is MPBSE denotes MAdhya Pradesh state while SSLC is system of education in whole India, So we may put MBBSE in place of SSLC once the MPBSE validation is completed( as such SSLC is also not wrong), So both are correct.
5th:Language and punctuation inappropriacy would be corrected as need & time permits.
6th: Apart from all these other things which the section & article is not following as per Wikipedia:NOR, Wikipedia:V,WP:NPOV

I am new so you guide me which is right for me!!!. As such i like creating new articles, but have no idea about how to get proper references, i would like to know more about How to make things work as per wikipedia Policies like How can i make a stuff Wikifiable e.t.c... Well we don't accpet copyrighted material. Articles even as hard as it may be sometimes must be written in your own words compiling sources into our own version, when it is basic facts, facts aren't copyrightable themsevles but they need to be written in a way that still looks as if you took the time to reorganise it. Whenever you write an article google search for sources, google books is also a good way to find more credible sources. When you reference a claim you add the ref tags that says below "Cite your sources" and you include the url of the source. As you get better you'll get used to adding a cite web in which you can fill out your references within them which you should do. As for uploading to the commons, go to the commons and click upload, now read what licenses we accept. You cannot copy photos from other sites unles syou have permission to use them. FLickr images must have a Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 or 3.0 sharealike license only licese which unfortunately means that most of them are not accpetable but you'll still find some 20 million images there we can use. Deletion

Do not be concerned about the creator of an article trying to stop it from being deleted. This is perfectly natural, and most of the actions are acceptable. Those at AfD are used to seeing both good and bad attempts to save articles and will respond accordingly. You will also have noticed that the reason it is most likely to be deleted is WP:CORP - not lack of references or needing to be wikified, we have many articles with one or both of these problems. In the Category Page to India ,It was instructed that there should be no Direct link to that page and all linking should be through the relevant subcategories.
