Accounts[edit]

  • Please choose which account you wish to edit from. I've spent the past few minutes trying to a) leave you a comment and b) figuring out what you're up to with the two accounts. This is frustrating and misleading in the extreme to other editors. Deiz talk 13:12, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I see what you're up to. If you're editing as Mindy, you need to stick with it. Deiz talk 13:14, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You may wish to change your signature or leave an appropriate note or template on your userpage to explain why your signature and username are completely different, per Wikipedia:Username. Deiz talk 13:20, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In which case I'd be happy to try and help you. However, there should be clear evidence that you are contributing positively and transparently, and not using two accounts to e.g. disguise or hide warnings. Do you have a link to your change request, and the decline reason you were given? Deiz talk 13:26, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No the request sat there for a week or two, so after a while I forgot about it and did not follow up. It was probably my fault anyway. I contribute using Mindys12345 as I have done from the start and only have the other account for my user page. I don't think I have made any edits with that account, apart from the user page itself--AdamJWC 13:35, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I found the rename request. Hmmm could be tricky. I know it's frustrating but the guys who deal with the change requests are strict for a reason. I think you should start with a clear note on your userpage about what you wanted to do, why the request was declined and why your signature and username are different. Using the two accounts in the way you were earlier is certainly not going to help your case. Deiz talk 13:37, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am about to go offline but as soon as I can I will look into it. Thanks--AdamJWC 13:40, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Good stuff. FYI I deleted your User-Ahmed subpage, it served no purpose other than unnecessary server load. We'll pick this up another time. Deiz talk 13:43, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've asked the UN-change guys about your situation. Deiz talk 14:10, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sydney explorer etc[edit]

erm - are you blocked? that is certainly the indication I get from your user page... wtf is more like it...

heh, I don't really know what goes on with that expanding title section. I don't even know how to use the syntax properly, I just cut and paste the same one and replace the caption.

I have seen the issue of the hide/show label discussed but not resolved. I think the creater seems to think it is a cache thing, and there's nothing wrong with the script - yeah, right, it's everyone else with a problem, not me.

Personally, I just use it to get rid of excessive cruft-level information. Encyclopedia entries should summarise that kind of information in a narrative and direct the reader to somewhere they can get excessive detailed information. So to my thinking, as long as I can still say "I never deleted any of the information in the article, it's all still there - I just changed the layout" - then I'm happy enough.

If someone who knows more than me comes along and improves the page layout by making the script work the way it is meant to then even better. Garrie 22:23, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

Sorry for hijacking this topic, but I had this issue before. I was shown a workaround, it's not ideal, but I've tried to implement it in Sydney Explorer for you. I'm afraid the colours aren't right, but you can play with that.

Hope it helps,

Name change?[edit]

The user name change might be a goer but not if you put headers like that on your talk page. Deiz talk 11:38, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Or blank your talk page for no reason without archiving. Sustained, positive contributions and transparency (ie good faith) before and after the move would probably be the minimum requirement, with you asserting such in another name change request. If you do the right things I'll be happy to back you up. Deiz talk 11:46, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Any Ideas for the story Im writting[edit]

The story is entitled "I'm your Grandpa" and its about me (I'm always the main characters in my story) and I'm in a train station in Australia. Can you give me the link to a page about an Australian train station? It would be really helpful.thanks --Wayne Neptune 03:14, 13 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User page links[edit]

If his only contribution is to create the page User:Anilmathewm, a couple more edits and then move on, it can be deleted. If he's here to stay then it's OK. --Steve (Stephen) talk 00:08, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks, I think that might be the case but i will look into it.--AdamJWC 00:38, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have to agree with the anon, even if I don't like the way he does things... the article does read like an advert and the tag is justified. Deiz talk 05:01, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

message[edit]

Don't worry about it, you do a lot of work on this website and in the end all you get is a kick up the arse. About the cronulla riots, well I haven't read the article, I think what the Australians did in the first place was wrong and wear were they when the reprisals took place. A bunch of cowards is what I say and thats coming from an Aussie. When it comes to the article itself I simply remove anything that does not look encyclopedic--HumphryTheFunLovingFellowIsHereTodayRightNow 00:36, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

please read the article - let me tell you, if you're girlfriend was raped by 14 Middle Eastern youths who tell her "you deserve to be raped because you are Polish" then you will also riot - Australians threw some bottles and rioted, but the Middle Easterns retaliated and stabbed several people, drive by shootings at a christian primary school, and burnt down a church... Boxerhorse

first of all, it is a large section of Mildde Easterns in Australia that hate Australians, and not just the gang rapists - and its all connected to a culture that hates infidels and preahces that Australian women are "uncovered meat" and encourages "street cat" islamic youth to rape them... NSW police have an entire crime squad set up to target Middle Eastern crime - there isnt one for italians, vietnamese, or chinese though which tells us a lot... look at the steve b attack where dozens of middle eastern youths attacked one man which is what arabs do - they "call their cousins" and carolads of them arrive - the aussies did that one day in retaliation to years and years of harrassment, intimidation 'aussie bashings', gang rapes, and then you say thet aussies are cowards, well, research the history and youll see that its arabs who operate in numbers and not aussies (with the exception of that one protest day turned violent) -arabs come to the beach and threaten rape to uncovered aussie girls wearing bikinis - reminds us of the preachings of uncovered meat and the gang rapes - and then if an aussie says a word its car loads of couisns rocking up with guns - they murdered two of themselves in punchbowl (chami the boxer), and they drive by murdered two men at the rocks then shot up mcdonalds out west, they shot up the lakemba police station, etc etc etc
you dont think that starting any kind of race war will help, then what do you think will help? Boxerhorse 11:58, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

in the Quran it states "an eye for an eye" - muslims attack in numbers, they get on their mobile phones and swarms of them arrive, and look at the steve b footage, and they also attacked Jeff Fenech boxer 5 on 1 and then undertook 2 seperate drive by shootings on his house, therefore, to be culturaly tolerant and not racist Australains must also follow that and attack ten on one also ;) tell me, do you remember the Jeff Fenech boxer got attacked by multiple arabs who then shot at his house? if they'll attack him as experienced boxer as he is in a fight, and then drive by shooitng his house even though he would be well connected to the underworld, imagine what they do toi the ordinary person like you or me? Boxerhorse 14:01, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Use of the abusive epithet "abo" and remarks about Muslims on User talk:Boxerhorse[edit]

As I wrote on User talk:Boxerhorse, the use of racial slurs like "abo" and tedious disquistions on Muslims' "breading" habits and plans for world domination have no place on Wikipedia and simply will not be tolerated. If you persist, I'll take you to WP:AN/I seeking a long-term block or ban of your account. This is Wikipedia, not Stormfront. --Rrburke(talk) 17:45, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
