Welcome

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We hope you like the place and decide to stay. Thank you for your contributions as we've noticed that you've been making some great additions to the Wikipedia at various dog breed articles and we really appreciate it.

I'm sorry but I have reverted or amended some of your contributions, as have some other editors. Woofipedia is not a suitable source, so should not be used. Please also try not to add information that is already included elsewhere within an article - for instance in Beagle you added about when it was recognised by the AKC but this was covered in a separate paragraph. You may find it easier to use citation templates - some very basic information can be found here.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, please let me know.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post.
If you need any help at all, you can contact me on my talk page or why not pop over to the Teahouse where there are always very patient, helpful and experienced editors available to give you a hand. SagaciousPhil - Chat 08:54, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Sagaciousphil. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Labrador Retriever because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. The number of links you are adding to a large number of dog breed articles to the American Kennel Club is verging on SPAM or Promotion. Please also stop duplicating information that is already included in articles and note that links to the AKC article should also not be duplicated. Thanks.
