A tag has been placed on your user page, User:AffordaBand UK, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. INeverCry 05:24, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion

[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here: Hello. I'm a human being, not a robot of any kind, and as my music agency exists in the real world and on the world wide web, I'm just trying to give this entity an existence on Wikipedia, as the rest of the world is welcome to do. I am not promoting anything. This page clearly just states what we are, what we do, and where we are based. It validates our existence. You are more the experts than me - please feel completely free to adjust whatever I have written that seems to offend, but please don't delete this.. I have the same right as others to exist on Wikipedia.

Many Thanks, Stuart Murphy) AffordaBand UK (talk) 05:33, 18 January 2015 (UTC) --AffordaBand UK (talk) 05:32, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, no. Wikipedia isn't a directory and isn't for advertising your services. Businesses that have been found to be notable by independent third party reliable sources are eligible for inclusion, but there is no evidence of this in what you posted. Thanks for addressing this for me. As I stated though, I'm a N00B, and I don't know why this entry offends. I'm not advertising anything. But clearly I'm deemed as advertising. Can you please show me what needs to change, specifically, so my UK entity is validated. Others have a presence. I humbly request your expert clarity on what I've stated that advertises. Thank You. Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. -- Ed (Edgar181) 12:22, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
