Beetles[edit]

Hello AfroBrazilian, just wanted to say welcome to wikipedia and great work on the beetle articles! Nice to see someone picking that up, wikipedia really needs more people working on insect articles. Cheers and greetings. Ruigeroeland (talk) 08:42, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I hope I do a good work. I watch around and saw that your En.Wiki has a greatest umber of insect articles trough all Wikipedia projects. But in beetle articles leader is Russian and Norway, almost 80% articles in Russian is mine own work. I hope I give good contributions with beetle articles. AfroBrazilian (talk) 10:50, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You sure do! Keep it up. I work on moths and butterflies mainly. We have well over 10,000 Lepidoptera articles, but there are so many species, it will take forever. It is even worse for beetles isnt it? I thought I had read somewhere that there are about 300,000 species! Damn.. Ruigeroeland (talk) 11:17, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, you right! and I will make it better. Yeah, beetle order is greatest in number of species through insect orders. AfroBrazilian (talk) 11:28, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Callipogon relictus[edit]

Russian is Ok with me. I haven't understood your point about the distribution map (I understand your point about migration of this beetle) - the map is the same in the Russian article. Materialscientist (talk) 09:57, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gush, I know I`m bad in English. Alright, I`ll try to explain. Callipogon relictus - isn`t an a migrant. Исправьте предложение: "Migration of Callipogon relictus occurs from early July through September." Спасибо, Afro-Braz-Ilian talk 10:17, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Понял, спасибо. Materialscientist (talk) 10:27, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Latvian translation question[edit]

Does this image page say that the image is by Hafizs Osmans, or in the style of Hafizs Osmans? I'm wondering about the decorative border, and not necessarily the calligraphy. Thanks! Calliopejen1 (talk) 00:22, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean this row — "Vārds „Allāh” rakstīts islāma kaligrāfijas jaunajā stilā, kuru XVII gs. sāka osmaņu mākslinieks Hafizs Osmans"? Authors want to say that "Hâfiz Osman the Ottoman artist, in the century of XVII wrote word "Allāh" in the new calligraphy style. Am I help you? Afro-Braz-Ilian talk 18:28, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that is what I mean. I think you answered my question - thank you! I just wanted to confirm that it was not a modern image in the style of Hafizs Osmans. Calliopejen1 (talk) 19:52, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Good!:) Afro-Braz-Ilian talk 20:27, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
