December 2013[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article, specifically Bangladesh Air Force, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Werieth (talk) 15:13, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

I question the alleged source of these images. I can't find them on http://www.baf.mil.bd and neither can TinEye. I think you photographed them on existing uniforms as derivative work, and the copyright on the underlying patches and designs rests with the Bangladesh Air Force, Armed Forces, Government, or employees thereof. The images also don't meet the claimed WP:NFCC#8 in that they are not used at the head of the article. They have all been tagged for deletion.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 19:57, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi I Fuad from Bangladesh Air Force. If it necessary to confirm Wikipedia authority, I can submit my proof. I want to inform Wikipedia about the RANK OF AIRMEN OF BANGLADESH AIR FORCE. Before my work This ranks photo's not yet uploaded in Internet. For why you cannot realize the fact of Uploading our rank in Wikipedia. Hope you help me to upload AIRMENS RANK OF BANGLADESH AIR FORCE. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Al Fuaduzzaman Sohan (talkcontribs) 17:44, 30 December 2013‎ (UTC)
Hi Fuad. It looks to me like you would benefit from reading Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission and Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials, as well as Commons:Commons:Permission before deciding to submit your proof. Those pages tell you what to submit and where. You may also want to read WP:COI.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 02:25, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

Stop icon Your addition to Bangladesh Air Force has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thomas.W talk to me 13:03, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (Insert-signature.png or Button sig.png) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 02:28, 31 December 2013 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Senior Warrant Officer.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Senior Warrant Officer.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:25, 6 June 2014 (UTC)

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Recruits Training School[edit]

Hello, Al Fuaduzzaman Sohan. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Recruits Training School".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13. An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 17:21, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
