Yerba[edit]

Yerba Were are a Wigan, UK based Alt Rock Band.

Fran Baxter (guitars and vocals), Christopher Swift (guitars), Dom Kohler (bass) and Martin Baxter (drums) all met at St Peters School Orrell.

The Band formed in 2005 and went on to perform around the UK with artists including: The Wombats, The Buzzcocks, Dirty Pretty Things, The Subways, I Am Kloot, The Holloways, The Rifles, Alphabeat, Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man, Winterkids, The Bishops, The Thirst amongst others.

The group also played concerts for CLUB NME, Academy Music Group, XFM Manchester, IN THE CITY, The Aftershow, BARFLY, XFM London, DEATH DISCO, Club Fandango Manchester, Sky TV and regional radio before parting ways in 2008.



History[edit]

The Band's original line-up included Joe McAllister and Christopher Kennedy who both left within a year of formation.

Yerba's first gig was in Wigan at Club Nirvana in October 2006 and was a sell out. The Band toured continuously from 2007 through to September 2009 before parting ways due to issues with management/record label.



Reformation[edit]

In January 2011 Yerba played a one off comeback gig at Club Nirvana (home of their debut show).
