article deleted[edit]

Hello,

Im translating in some language biographies about Albanian notable figures and i found that Gazmend Freitag article was deleted last time from you at English wiki. and it has dhe CSDH link. I check the German version of this article and i think is notable enough to have even the English version. So should i give it a try to recreate or it will be deleted again? --Margott (talk) 11:58, 14 February 2017 (UTC)

  • A recent query shows that only 16% of administrators on the English Wikipedia have enabled two-factor authentication. If you haven't already enabled it please consider doing so.
  • Cookie blocks should be deployed to the English Wikipedia soon. This will extend the current autoblock system by setting a cookie for each block, which will then autoblock the user after they switch accounts under a new IP.
  • A bot will now automatically place a protection template on protected pages when admins forget to do so.

KH KIm[edit]

Hello- Have you actually read the entry of Kyung Hee Kim? It is an absolute disgrace to what Wikipedia entries are supposed to be about. There is not a single credible verifiable 3rd party source to the graphic personal diatribe in the entry. A small search also reveals the article is self-authored by the person. When is being a Professor considered to meet a notability criteria? I think A11 applies and this article should be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HangulRover (talkcontribs) 13:33, 3 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi. The article is nominated under criterion A7, not A11, but neither apply to this article. Both critera require that the article does not contain any credible assertion of importance or significance. Importantly, this is a lower standard than notability. The article claims that the professor has won awards, been featured on the cover of a large magazine, sparked a nationwide debate and is the editor of a number of journals. These claims are sufficient to be a credible claim of importance, and the article therefore does not meet the A7 or A11 criteria for speedy deletion. If you still believe the article should be deleted, you should consider WP:AfD, which you have already started. Please do not replace the CSD tag. Thanks, Ale_Jrbtalk 13:51, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
If you think that parts of the article are vandalism, however, you can remove those parts without the article being deleted. Ale_Jrbtalk 13:56, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
