Speedy of Dr.K C Joseph

I do not feel Dr.K C Joseph was a valid speedy candidate under A1, the subject was quite apparent. I would have thought being a Member of the Legislative Assembly was at the very least a credible claim to importance which wouldn't make it a speedy candidate in the first place. Perhaps you could restore it with a BLP prod as the content was uncited. Bringing back TraceTracker page

Hi Alex, I noticed that you deleted a page about a company called TraceTracker on 13:17, 19 February 2010 on grounds that is was an "Article about a company, corporation, organization, or group, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject". Here is the red link TraceTracker. I don't remember what the old article contained, but quite a bit of information about the company has been published on the web since then.

• The RFID Journal has published articles about the company's work tracking cod, developing and implementing tool tracking systems, and developing smartphone applications.
• A Financial Post article covered a significant seafood traceability project in Canada that TraceTracker was involved in.
• The company has also participated in several large national and EU traceability projects, including eTrace(testing new data exchange standards in food traceability), eSporing(developing a national food traceability system for Norway), and the TRACE project (developing a new framework for traceability in food supply chains).

Considering this new evidence of "importance" and "significance" could you consider brining the article back so I can add these, more solid references and more? Best regards, Laura.Gray08

Yup, that page. On that orphaned talk page the two initiators explicitly stated "give us some time before deleting this orphaned talk page." It might be perfectly clear for you that you can delete this page without further warning, but I didn't expect that my edits (=invested time) could get so suddenly deleted. I am just very lucky that I had an edit window open at the time of your deletion, so I could copy the content from there to my own namespace.

No I wasn't. Looked again. Just way down the page on an orphaned page. If they wanted to test how the article looked they could always use a subpage or a sandbox. Work on it there until ready. Then you can move it to mainspace but be expecting many editors to question and refactor. That's the nature of Wikipedia. It would be nice if you linked to the page you are talking about, and signed you entries in Talk pages (see note at the top of the edit page). No matter, I did a little search for you to see what were you talking about. You mention your user page. It is empty (has been emptied by you). If you mean the article currently in AfD, every article has to assert notability. Autobiographies are strongly discouraged. Furthermore, even if the sources were unreliable, WP:BLPPROD requires a complete lack of references to nominate an article: To place a BLPPROD tag, the process requires that the article contain no sources in any form (as references, external links, etc.), which support any statements made about the person in the biography. I did not mean the newspapers to be unreliable. I meant there were no links to anything verifiable. Sure you added the links to newspaper's Wikipedia page. That does not mean much, unless there is a link to the actual article where she appeared, or a proper citation indicating issue, date and page number. Even if those are not web links, they are still verifiable. What I saw is just claims. If you want to remove the BLP-PROD then it will be replaced with a regular PROD. The point is it seems to be an autobiography, poorly written , not properly referenced, with some OR and POV claims (I removed some of it) and with several unverified claims (now tagged). I am not saying she's not notable as an artist, just that what is there does not show it, just claims it. Claims were somewhat credible, therefore it was not tagged for speedy deletion, just PROD. Please feel free to propose the article for deletion through another deletion process with a valid justification, but on the surface the subject seems to pass WP:GNG. WP:BLPPROD was inappropriate as the article has sources, and reliable ones at that. (Note that the newspaper articles used as references did include dates and titles.) Wikipedia doesn't require that citations be in-line. Wikipedia also does not require that sources be on-line. See WP:CITE for more details. As an administrator, I think you have an obligation to familiarize yourself with these guidelines and to apply them as intended. Pburka (talk) 20:48, 10 November 2011 (UTC)

CHAMPS2 page deleted under "A7" can it be restored or at least the text emailed to me

I was not aware that there was a CHAMPS2 article on Wikipedia or who authored it, I only became aware of it because of a Google alert on the term which included a snippet of it. CHAMPS2 is a business transformation methodology (of the same ilk as the PRINCE2 and PMBOK project management methodologies), accredited by APMG, of which I am a certified practitioner and one of the people tasked with supporting and promoting it. If you could restore the article or provide the original raw text to me I would be more than happy to bring it up to the requisite standard and resubmit. It would also be helpful if you could make available any discussions or rationale behind the deletion so that I can target my efforts to dealing with identified problems rather than trying to second guess.

I could just recreate the article from scratch but would prefer to have some basis from which to work (and avoid the need to locate and upload any graphics the original author may have already uploaded). If the article cannot be restored or the raw text provided I'll recreate from scratch.

Hi Alexf. I came looking for information on the phrase Nek Minnit, which has had a fair bit of currency here in New Zealand lately. I see you have deleted an article on it. Is the deleted article accessible anywhere? I would be interested in seeing if I can make head or tail of it—at least to find out where the phrase originated. From your reason for deletion, and the nature of the subject itself, I gather it may have been contributed by a New Zealander with limited literacy skills, possibly in a form of NZ English not widely understood elsewhere. removal of artical cd_slot_mount

Hello Alexf I believe my article has been removed as it was presumed as advertising. This isn't the case. The article is to explain what a CD Slot Mount is because you do not have that information here. There are different types made by different companies and I attempted to cover that explanation and make the article purely describing a new invention that came out in 2011, which you do not have any information on. cd_slot_mount Please can you consider re-instating the page? Remove anything you feel is advertising? I would like to add more information and let others add more information to the page over time, because it is something an encyclopedia needs to have included.

Regarding deleting HABANA as per rule A7

As per Wikipedia A7 rule - "...This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people, organizations, and individual animals themselves.."

My Article HABANA was about a food festival which doesn't cover any of the above. I have added a newspaper link which itself explains the significance. What more is practically possible to emphasize more on this festival? I am only awaiting the 4 day period to add photos. Can you suggest what is practically possible to give more emphasis on this festival?

The festival is run by an organization, isn't it? In any case, as written and sourced it is not notable. The City Plus Newspaper article is a press release. If it were not a notability issue, then it has a serious case of advertisement as written, which would qualify it for a G11. Userify should be fine for now. I will edit the contents to make sure it falls into the category of a reference material. This is the first time I am adding a content, so maybe I need to tweak a bit in language. Any other additional changes required, please let me know. Once done I will let you know.

FYI : This festival is started by a group of people in a large residential complex called Purva Sunshine(and not an organization). The concept, theme and the presentation was a runaway success. Many attended including residents in that complex as well as outsiders from that area, making it a news article to come in a newspaper. This will be conducted further. The name is popular in the area as it connotes to the type of this festival. None benefits from this publicity as the organizers group will change/expand and more people will be coming for conducting it.

Hi, Alex, Sorry I made a hash of reporting vandalism under the above title. I don't find procedures are described particularly clearly on WP but I agree that I should have signed my complaint. However regarding the complaint itself, to which you refer here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Mzilikazi1939#November_2011, I'm afraid you didn't look at the user's talk page. After warnings and a suspension, he vandalised another article on 27 October and was given a final warning. That was why I did not give him another warning, as your message said I should have done. His series of edits to the Aesop's Fables page was plainly meant to be disruptive. He made a nonsensical reformat and added a Hans Anderson story to the list of fables wrongly ascribed to Aesop, which it never was nor could have been. The intent there was plainly mischievous and it looks as if the user is testing to see what he can get away with. I'd be grateful, therefore, if you'd give the matter some more thought. I had looked at the user's talk page, as I always do to make a decision. The issue and report was yesterday, 30 November, 2011. You may have noticed that the last warning this IP (anonymous) user had was on 27 October 2011, that is over a month ago. Your complaint was about four edits by this IP on Aesop's Fables on 30 November but no warnings have been issued on that day, and no warnings issued for over a month.

Please look at the notice on a green background box in the AIV page itself:

• 1. The edits of the user you are reporting must be considered vandalism.
• 2. The user must be given sufficient recent warnings to stop.
• 3. Unregistered users must be active now, and the warnings must be recent.

Lionel Messi

Hello Alex, I would like to ask you very politely why you have deleted my passage on Lionel Messi regarding his 'playing style.' With all due respect it is very hard to find evidence of words depicting his playing style whereas the passage I have written clearly shows Messi's ability as any other person with football knowledge would agree. I don't think that there is any evidence apart from video evidence to confirm what I wrote about Messi. For example passages such as 'he has exceptional dribbling ability, fantastic technique, he likes to cut inside onto his stronger left foot' are clear, direct observations of Messi's playing style for some years. This is confusing for me as of why you had deleted my post as some other users send me a message saying how that it was very helpful and detailed. Also, concerning the evidence problem, would you please kindly replace the passage I wrote because it is not a biased passage and clearly reflects Messi's playing style, I have also used what other commentators have frequently said and if you have ever watched a match with Messi weaving his magic you will know and surely agree along with the millions who watch him that this is a very descriptive, accurate passage about his playing style. I am very hurt by your edit and deletion and I would ask you to kindly replace this text as it took me a very long time to write. Sorry for this. Do not feel bad. I personally agree with you as a follower of Messi and Barça, but we all have to live by Wikipedia's rules by writing from a neutral point of view. It does not matter what you or I say about his "fantastic technique" as you put it. Unless you add citations by many renowned sports journalists, and even then, it is POV. See the NPOV tutorial which might help explain the policies better. If you do not agree, start by discussing your proposed text change in the article's Talk Page (don't worry the text is not lost, you can retrieve it form the history of the page). The page was deleted because of lack of assertion of notability, not because of being an advertisement, although it came close. Your message sounds like you wanted it as advertisement. Sorry Kumioko but I had to go an opt-out. I am not a member of the Wikiproject. I have never received your newsletter before, that is until today. Why do I have to opt-out? You have this backwards. It should be opt-in for non-members of the project. Do you know how many Wikiprojects are out there? Do you know how many newsletters they produce? Would like to be subscribed to all of them? How about be spammed by all of them, every month? Nah, I didn't think so. Calm down, no reason to start spitting fire. You were receiving it because I still had the Florida related projects members on the list of supported projects. I have now removed them along with Iowa so you should no longer get it. Just for clarification I only send it to members of WikiProject United States, one of the 63 projects it supports or folks who want it. Just for FYI though if someone wanted to add me to a list it would be fine as I read about 40 of them a month anyway. Mr Hinke, after reading the block information again I have to disagree with you. The username is a violation of WP:GROUPNAME. I fail to see how blocking a group account "you hurt all of us" as you put it. I've no idea what Mr. Wales has to do with this or the relevance of his inclusion in your message. As long as the policies are in place, we follow them. I also see you have not read the blocking message which is very explicit in telling you how to appeal a block. Another admin went so far as to giving you more details and help, after the blocking message in the group's talk page. Up to this writing you have not done so. Coming from an anonymous IP and complaining about this months after the fact does not accomplish much. If it is so important to you to have that particular account name, by all means follow procedures and appeal. An uninvolved admin will make a ruling. I strongly suspect they will still ask you to change your username, as I did. As for the political comments in your message above, it has no relevance to this block whatsoever. I've no idea what are you talking about and how one account block will stop you from talking to Mr. Wales or anybody about your political opinions, or the "blackout of Wikipedia" (whatever that means). You can always create another account, you could email, you could contact the Foundation, the list of available venues goes on. Your removal of the Kingdom of Alba Longa article was too short noticed. The Kingdom included more cities than Alba Longa Now there is no article on the predacessor state to the Roman Kingdom.

The Kingdom of Alba Longa article that you deleted was created minutes earlier with multiple credible sources and stated that the kingdom included more cities than just Alba Longa - it included Latium and Lavinium. In otherwords the A10 policy does not apply, the article Alba Longa is about the city, not the kingdom. The Kingdom of Alba Longa was a major state in the Italian Peninsula and the predaccessor to the Roman Kingdom, the Roman legend figure Romulus was its last king until he formed Rome and the Roman Kingdom.--R-41 (talk) 18:16, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Regarding the speedy deletion of "Suffokate"

What was wrong with the "Suffokate" article? A little while ago I moved moved File:Ysubposter.jpg to "File:Beatles Yellow Submarine movie poster.jpg" with the rationale "Brief but descriptive", which would have been just fine, well, excetp for the fatc I movde it to - oosp - File:Beatles Yellow Submarine move poster.jpg. What's the harm? "..move poster.." instead of "..movie poster..". No big deal as it is just a filename and the file is easily found, linked and used that way. Why create another redirect? Seems you have not understood the football notability requirements. Unless I misread it, the article said the club was founded in 2011. "Pre-professional (amateur era)" refers to turn of the century clubs, before the country had a professional league. According to the Wikipedia article, the S.League started in 1996, but the Amateur era dates from 1904. Please discuss this at WT:FOOTY to get consensus. -- Alexf^(talk) 15:43, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

"Legit" is not a concept we take in Wikipedia. "Notable" is. Like I said, discuss it in WT:FOOTY and see what the experts there say. I am not knowledgeable on Singaporean Leagues. They'll help you and if the club can assert notability through reliable sources, then it will be encyclopedic enough. Gather sources and if the company is notable, write about it in an encyclopedic form, not as a PR campaign. I recently saw

that an article, Josephine P. Widener was up for speedy deletion. However there was no link to the discussion page for the deletion. Then, suddenly, there were blue links, so went to the article and started making edits - improvements from my perspective, and then suddenly it was gone again. Sure , there were questions about notability, but she died in 1961, it is not as if this had to be dealt with RIGHT NOW. I now need to take a few minutes to make sure that I am in compliance with your posted guidelines - a quick scan to be sure that I'm not subconsciously writing in haiku - hmmmmmm some caps and ......... borderline cute, depending, of course, on your definition. OurCampaigns is middling-useful, especially for historical races. However, if there is nothing outside of OurCampaigns to show that he is a candidate, then I'd say it is not sufficient. Autobiographies are not welcomed. Articles on living persons have to have extra verifiable sources, the article did not have any. Not one. Being a real person does not assert notability. Speedy of Gold: the Series

Hi there, Alexf.

I'm not an editor, but I was alerted by Google this morning (in the wee hours) that someone had created a wikipedia entry for my independent TV series, GOLD. Fantastic news to me - we've been around for three years, have won (or been nominated for) a number of prestigious awards, included in some great film festivals, we've been a leader in the independent TV movement, and we're about to launch our show on two new networks (including one international network), with re-mastered video & sound and subtitles in English, Italian and German (thanks to a generous fan community).

Sadly, when I followed the Google alert link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_:The_Series), I found the page had been speedy-deleted. Reason: A7.

I'm not certain who created the page, but A7 seems like a sad way to go, when I've a list as long as my arm of articles in the entertainment industry trades (including Variety & Cynopsis), citations for our awards & nominations, industry panels at which we've been invited to speak, etc. There are certainly arguments to be made about how notable *any* indieTV is, I'm sure, but A7? Le sigh.

Anyway, whatever help you can offer would be amazing, even if it is just a connection to whatever editor created the page (with the page deleted, I can't tell) so I could supply him/her with proper notability documentation. Or, if the page were undeleted, I could register and supply that material to the page myself.

For now, I'll just keep that google alert in my inbox as a bittersweet one-time surprise.

Whoa! Slow down pardner. Before accusing me of not reading, you should start by reading yourself. What are you talking about? A deleted article I suppose? If you had read the instructions int he top of this edit page you would have seen a request to add a link to it so I know what you are complaining about. With hundreds of deletions a week it is hard to see what your issue is. If you had read the same notice above, you would have seen a request to sign your comments. You didn't. This band is relevant to the community of Bainbridge Island, Washington. Though the two incorporate aspects of comedy into their work, they have serious work that I, as a community member, have enjoyed. The Steve kauffman article you linked above was deleted because it was promotional and I'm surprised you mention it as you did not write anything on it. The Steve Kauffman article on the other hand, a different one to the one you linked, was a copyright violation. I had nothing to do with that one, so I'm not clear on why you ask here. As blocking admin here it seems reasonable to inform you that I reviewed the newcomers contributions and felt compelled to revert all of them. As his username suggests, he is here as a POV advocate for a religious denomination. His additions to those articles appeared to fail several policies, especially WP:RS; the website gift2shias explicitly states: "Gift2Shias is a project which aims to confront the endless shubuhat (“arguments”), deceptions, distortions, twistings and BLATANT lies of the double faced sect of twelver Imamism (“Shias” i.e. Rafidah)."

Although you've blocked the problematic account, other attempts to insert similar content using that "reference" are entirely possible. As you are already involved, would it be acceptable to alert you to such attempts if admin action seems required? I'll watch here for your reply. I see your point and have no problem with the reversion. As per your second paragraph, I am not really "involved" in this issue. I found the username through the filters placed as part of UAA for problematic usernames. I have no knowledge of the article(s) he was involved with and had never seen them before. Should a new user or sock of this user blatantly push a POV or try to bypass a block, please report it to the proper boards (AIV for vandalism or SPI for sockpuppetry for example. I wanted to know how can I restore my speedy deleted page AIUB Oratory Club (AOC) where the reason provided was that it did not have any reference links & "No explanation of the subject's significance (real person, animal, organization, or web content))" I went to your page to ask you & went through your slightly humorous guideline regarding why you deleted & how to bring it back. Your attitude seemed friendly enough & thats why I'd sincerely would like to ask you that How I can restore the page which is about my university [[5]] Oratory (Debate) Club & it is indeed one of the most prestigious & prominent debating club of the country. The article was deleted on 6 February 2011 and again on 24 September 2011, both times for the same reason, lack of assertion of notability. This does not mean that the organization is not notable or important, just that it is not shown. This does not have anything to do with commercial or for profit ventures or spam, as you mentioned. The only reference it had was a Facebook page which is not acceptable. I could userfy the article for you if you request it, but as-is, it cannot go into mainspace.

As per the other page you mentioned, you could have nominated it for Speedy Deletion as non-notable organization if you'd think it was warranted. Using it as an example for your page does not carry any weight in your deletion/restore request. See Wikipedia:Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions.

Always please start a new section at the bottom, with a ==section header== so it does not get merged with the previous topic, as it was in this case. Please remember to sign your posts in talk by adding four tildes (~~~~).

Hello, i recently came to know that you've blocked User:DoabaHeadlines's account. Well done! Very well done! He/she was writing here for publicity, i agree. And the thing that i greatly don't like about him is his/her adding "(Doabi: example)" , actually Doaba is a region of Punjab and its first and official language is Punjabi. But in Punjab, the language got minor changes in speaking style by region. So, people called the language as "doabi" as being this the local lang. to the region of Doaba and just to clear that "(Punjabi) of which style?" as people know the style that varies by region, but it doesn't means that it is any other lang. or different script, it's entirely Punjabi. And when he/she writer "(Doabi: example)", really hearts my feeling as i think that he/she is trying to show people that doabi is some other language. By speaking style that may be called doabi but no doabi exists in writing. It doesn't make any sense to write is as doabi instead {{lang-pa|}}, there are many other regions in Punjab as Majha, Malwa etc. Of which regional languages are called Majhi and Malwai respectivly. What if i follow him/her and start writing "(Malwai: example) or any other. It does not make any sense my friend (i want to say him/her). I always replaced his/her this edit with {{lang-pa|example}} and the important thing is that i've checked his edits and found the same text on other websites may be he used copied text and more, he used much CAPITAL LETTERS that's, again, not make any sense. Oh thanks for that bloking that person and bearing my this edit. You can remove this sec., i just thank. And i should tell all this to him but as this is a talk page then you can call it just a talk. MSU Interview

Dear Alexf,

My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the community HERE, were it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.

So a few things about the interviews:

• Interviews will last between 15 and 30 minutes.
• Interviews can be conducted over skype (preferred), IRC or email. (You choose the form of communication based upon your comfort level, time, etc.)
• All interviews will be completely anonymous, meaning that you (real name and/or pseudonym) will never be identified in any of our materials, unless you give the interviewer permission to do so.
• All interviews will be completely voluntary. You are under no obligation to say yes to an interview, and can say no and stop or leave the interview at any time.
• The entire interview process is being overseen by MSU's institutional review board (ethics review). This means that all questions have been approved by the university and all students have been trained how to conduct interviews ethically and properly.

I recommended the deletion of the page Belinda Parmar mainly because i feel it is a vanity page. Most of the edits are by her husband Salim Fadley. It also over states her importance. Lady Geek is a very minor company and her appearances on TV are entirely promotional and public relations for her company. The series Lady Geek TV has low awareness, viewership and is promotional sponsorship wrapped-up as editorial. She has not produced significant original research or provided significant contribution in a non-commercial capacity - which itself has elements of sexist stereotyping. I feel wikipedia is an encyclopedia and should avoid promotional, vanity pages - especially orphan pages whose purpose is to singularly to promote commercial interests. For god's sake? I'd only just started putting the page together before you came along and deleted it! The main source I was using was from a motorcycle action group article of some years back, written by a friend of mine, Ian Mutch, who is quite happy for me to use his text. If you gave me more than 90 seconds to work on the article I'd have (and was in the process of) rewritten to a more objective form and added references! Don't be so damn trigger happy.

Please let me know if you'd like to contact Mutchie to check on his willingness to allow use, or toherwise just reinstate the damn thing and I can complete it.

Deletion review

Do you mind taking a peek at an article that you deleted as A7? Lab 4 was deleted yesterday as A7 (no notability asserted), but I think this may have been in error. A7 means no significance asserted, which is a lower standard than notability. In this case the band has a 12 LP discography (including at least one release on a notable label), has a song used in a major product television ad (Reebok), and has been featured on BBC Radio 1 - these appear all pass the "claim of significance" bar. Hello! Admin, please help I wanna know that if an ordarnary user i.e. Me have the right to remove his/her contribution(s) from any particular page without explaining any particular reason? That's a tricky issue. In my opinion, in Talk pages, yes but not in an article. If the text is NPOV and properly sourced, once it is in the article it becomes part of the article, i.e. it is not yours anymore, so by removing it without any explanation you may be committing article vandalism. Deletion of a page - Bai Wenwei

Alexf, Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am trying to create an autobiography for a man Bai Wenwei, a Kuomintang general who was my great great uncle.

There is a Chinese Wikipedia (http://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%9F%8F%E6%96%87%E8%94%9A - you may not be able to click the link because of the Chinese characters) page for him, but I plan to translate that page into an English version. Would that violate copyright? The same sources would be used and it is strictly a translation. I am assuming that since that page has been up for awhile, it meets Wikipedia guidelines.

It would not violate copyright because all Wikipedia articles are licensed under CC by SA. What could violate copyright is the text when it is lifted from a copyrighted source. Translating articles is fine. I have translated hundreds myself (from Spanish WP). The point is that the notability requirements may be a little different in the English Wikipedia. That IP has never been blocked. I see it does not have enough standard warnings. Please make sure a vandal has at least a Level 3 or Level 4 warning before reporting to AIV. This applies to regular vandals. Any blatant vandalism (defamation, racism, etc.) can be blocked before the usual set of warnings is issued. The page is Dotmatics. It says there that it was removed under criteria A7, "No indication of importance". My goal is to address the indication of importance and update some references, then leave editing to others via "Request Edits" instead of doing it myself. I am following COI guidelines by disclosing my affiliation (I'm a Dotmatics employee). Thanks for your detailed explanations about why you deleted my article. It was about FSANZ, or Food Standards Australian New Zealand, an Australian public service agency, where I am a writer in the Communications Section.

While I read your explanations about why the article was deleted, I'm sure sure what criteria it was deleted under. It is about a public service agency that regulates food and ensures the food supply in Australia and New Zealand is safe to eat. If this comes under the deletion for 'promotion' then surely promoting public safety is not a bad thing? If it's seen to be copying some material from the FSANZ website, that's because I wrote the website in good faith to promote knowledge about food safety.

Before writing the articfle I looked at many other articles about similar agencies and cannot see why mine was any different.

You asked me to leave a red link to the article, though I'm not sure how I can if it's not there anymore - don't think me factious in this comment, I've been a professional writer for 35 years, way before computers and links etc and if I've missed some technical aspect of your comments I apologise, I just didn't follow the import of it.

Perhaps you'd be kind (and patient) enough to explain why the article can't be restored.

I had to look again. Now I understand what you mean. No, the one you posted was to your own website. That reeks of spam. As an example, I am a photographer myself. You will not see any links to my photo gallery (except one posted by somebody else long ago). All the images I posted have been uploaded to WP or Commons and have been licensed accordingly.
