Welcome!

Hello, AllcocAJ, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 19:11, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Bury F.C., but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Sam and the Womp. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Promotional womping

[edit]

How was my entrance on Sam and the womp promotional? Please reinstate the much needed knowledge and content AllcocAJ (talk) 23:14, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Are you confused about how "On the 15th April 2015, the Womp played the biggest gig of their career at the mighty Gigg Lane. This taster for the famed BL9 Weekender, was thoroughly enjoyed by the Gigg Lane massive who were certainly ready to Womp" is promotional? Okay, let's walk through this piece by piece. There is no need to say mighty, how do you know it was "thoroughly enjoyed"? and using the terminology like "ready to Womp" is fan language. A better way to word this would be "On 15 April 2015, the Womp played the biggest gig of their career at the Gigg Lane." That is it. It is neutral and not promotional. However, another problem is that it is also unsourced. All content on Wikipedia must be sourced so it can be verified. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 23:21, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Promontial womping

The reason I know everyone enjoyed themselves was because I was there and the crowd went absolutely wild at the MIGHTY GIGG LANE AllcocAJ (talk) 17:28, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm OxonAlex. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Blake Austin, but you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ~~ OxonAlex - talk 15:48, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
