Speedy deletion nomination of Da Gryptions[edit]

A tag has been placed on Da Gryptions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. The subject of the article does not satisfy the criteria listed in WP:BAND. The single independent reference provided is a local/regional newspaper.

Suggestion for when creating new articles[edit]

Hi, just a suggestion that when creating new articles, it might help to create the page in your userspace first. This would give you time to expand the article, add more references etc., before someone comes along and speedy deletes it. So for example if you click User:Apsobibi/Dead Child Star (band) that will take you to a sub-page of your user page where you can create a page about the band and work on it until you're ready to move it into the right place as a proper article.

If you need a copy of the article that was just deleted, you can also ask for it to be moved back into your userspace or emailed to you, as mentioned above. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 02:50, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
