Excellent new navigation sidebar[edit]

I like your new format, it is much more compact than the see-also section and is at the top where I need it, especially when I come to the article just to read the filmography. We need more experimentation like this. I think the wikicommons and wikiquote links should be here too, if they exist. The current version at the bottom tends to crowd the reference section, and the graphics for them are too large. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 18:32, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Ivans Xtc Film poster.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Ivans Xtc Film poster.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 01:18, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:2012-13 I-League table requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Coderzombie (talk) 18:05, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I can do that. Btw, I noticed from the video you linked me to that the match ball for the game was the Adidas Terrestra Silverstream (the one they used at Euro 2000), not the Adidas Tricolore, as claimed in the article. Were you aware of this? – PeeJay 18:28, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I might do the extra colours if I can find some time this week. As for the arrangement of the teams, I simply put the teams in the same order as I did the World Cup line-up graphics in. I think the readers will be able to work it out, so I don't think I see the point in changing it now. – PeeJay 20:03, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What do you mean? – PeeJay 20:57, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, no. I guess I just changed the order at some point in the last five years. Not sure why. It's nothing to lose sleep over though. – PeeJay 21:48, 27 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, WP:BOLD! The GA criteria just asks for articles to be broad and address the most important things – in this case what happened before, after and during the match. So really all that was needed was for the prose to be tightened up. If you were ever looking to push this up to Featured Article status the article would need to be comprehensive, so adding something on team selection (formation) is important. As I would think the pre-match thoughts of both managers; at present we just have their reaction of the final. Lemonade51 (talk) 22:19, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Translations[edit]

Hi Arbero, I would translate the sentences in the following way:

1) "Das wir über Fehler reden und daraus lernen müssen, heißt nicht, daß es notwendig ist, den Trainer zu wechseln."

"That we need to talk about mistakes and learn from them does not mean that it is necessary to change the manager."

2) "Es ist bitter, durch ein solches Tor zu verlieren."

"It is bitter to lose by such a goal." (as it is the the article)

3) "Der Verein muß sich endlich entscheiden. Es war mehr drin in dieser Saison. Wir haben etwa acht Spiele leichtfertig vergeben."

"The club has to make up its mind finally. We could have done better this season. We carelessly squandered about eight games."

4) "Ich sehe dem Gespräch gelassen entgegen. Der Verein muß auf mich zukommen. Ich habe einen Vertrag bis 1999. Es müssen einige harte Worte fallen. Für mich ist die Saisonbilanz positiv."

"I'm calmly looking forward to the discussion. The club has to approach me. I have a contract until 1999. There must be some tough words. For me, the season has been positive."

5) "Man muß über vieles reden, so wie es dieses Jahr gelaufen ist, kann man nicht zusammenarbeiten."

"You have to talk about many things, you cannot work together in the way it was this year."

But except for the first sentence of number 4 the gist of the quotes is already translated well. --Jaellee (talk) 18:15, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

2014-15 La Liga[edit]

Hey Arbero, not sure if you made the edit, if it was by accident or what happened, but I compared your edit to the previous one and in your version it had Barcelona having played 11 matches and on 23 points, but they have only played 10 matches and on 22 points. So I just reverted that. But it looks like we may have a problem with another editor who I noticed has been vandalizing or improperly editing many pages and reverted my edit, so it might have been that user who made the error. Cheers. Rupert1904 (talk) 21:27, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As a gaffe from my side? No thank you, check out the article before and after your edit. It clearly was changed to 11 games played by Barcelona and on 23 points. I did not do that. Rupert1904 (talk) 21:40, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It was in your version that there was a change to how many matches that Barca had played, that user edited the Position by Round section not the league table section. Rupert1904 (talk) 21:53, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
And I reverted that user's edit and they have been warned about this before, so hopefully it is all good now. If you think I should warn them again, I will. Rupert1904 (talk) 21:56, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, sorry if I sounded confrontational. Continue the good work! Rupert1904 (talk) 22:13, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Updating football articles[edit]

About La Liga Manager of the Month award[edit]

I undid your edit adding the October MOTM because Emery's nomination is not for the award, it is only named by the LFP website writers. The same happened in September, when Luis Enrique was nominated (link) but Nuno Espírito Santo finally won the award (link). October awards are not given yet.

If you and others want, we can add another section in the article for this new nomination by the LFP website. Cheers. Asturkian (talk) 20:47, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

League tables[edit]

You're doing great work in updating football tables! Recently WT:FOOTY has started implementing the new Module:Sports table throughout the football articles and I noticed you have started some conversion work as well. To keep track of the conversions Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/League season/Table conversion was created to track progress, feel free to mark conversions that you did in there as well (although note that a country should only be marked as done when also lower professional divisions and group tables have been converted). The talk page contains several discussions about how to structure these. Feel free to join in these discussions as well if you want. CRwikiCA talk 19:06, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I see you have developed some tables and you are doing a rea good work. However I would like to mention that there is a consensus to pipe the wikilinks in qualification column a little different from what you have been doing. Look for example at {{2014–15 Premier League table}} and Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Archive 91#Comments (and other places, I tried a few times). Even though I did not agree I folded to consensus to not display season and association so a the wikilink should be something like "Qualification to [[2015–16 UEFA Champions League#Group stage|Champions League group stage]]". Also I restored your table at Template:2014–15 A-League table after an editor did not like new table Template talk:2014–15 A-League table. QED237 (talk) 20:50, 25 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! No rush in fixing the wikilinks, it will probably sort itself out in the future (if you dont edit but that would be the best). I just wanted to let you know for future tables. And Merry Christmas to you too! QED237 (talk) 22:43, 25 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
