Talk Page[edit]

Unless you've noticed, I've updated my post in your commons talk page to describe what I wanted. Just wanted to make sure you see it cause I still don't really understand how to chat on wikipedia. :) Kaiser Torikka 16:54, 27 September 2010 (UTC)

Template:Anglicanism[edit]

When the image on the Template:Anglicanism template was de-thumbed, the image caption that identified it as Canterbury Cathedral was lost. As a result, the image has been re-thumbed, at least temporarily. If you know how to keep the caption and de-thumb it, feel free to make the needed changes. It's important to keep the caption. Cheers. Truthanado (talk) 00:42, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the update. I have learned a new trick (pseudo-captioning) dealing with images. Truthanado (talk) 16:06, 5 June 2010 (UTC)

Kent[edit]

Hi there! Just regarding this... i've temporarily reverted it. Please feel free to re-add it, but can you clarify for me or provide some sort of reference as to how one would be listed as being born in Sidcup? Based on what you contributed, it would be Sidcup, Kent, United Kingdom. But reading the Sidcup article, to me it's a bit ambiguous as to what place would be in between Sidcup and United Kingdom. Do you know of any reliable sources that show the full reference to Sidcup as Sidcup, Kent, United Kingdom? Thanks for your time. Timeshift (talk) 20:14, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

Thankyou for taking the time to explain it to me! Timeshift (talk) 21:27, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Raven Riley[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

An editor has nominated Raven Riley, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Raven Riley (2nd nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 02:25, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Legislative composition diagrams[edit]

Hello, I was wondering what program you use to create your legislative composition diagrams, for example this one here and what you did to create it. Thanks Caribbean1 (talk) 12:50, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your help. Do you know if there is a version for mac though? It does not work on my macbook. Caribbean1 (talk) 21:18, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Netherlands 2e kamer diagram[edit]

First of all thanks for uploading. I would prefer though if it could follow the actual seats or at least the order of parties in the chamber. which is different from your diagram. Can you have a look at page 18 of this [1] pdf. It is outdatedbut order of parties remains the same. I am trying to find the new diagrams but they are not easy to find. Also note that the seating remains unchanged in the Netherlands regardless of any government coalition being formed, so update after that won't be necessary. Arnoutf (talk) 08:59, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Wikipedia Reviewer.svg

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. —DoRD (talk) 12:33, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Hellenic Parliament[edit]

Hi. Over the past four days you have made two self reversions on the Hellenic Parliament article featuring edits belonging to other countries' parliaments which were then self-reverted. If you use automated tools to make these edits perhaps this indicates that more attention should be paid while using these tools. Thanks. Dr.K. λogosπraxis 18:04, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

William Cornwallis[edit]

Hi there, I noticed that you recently editted the Page regarding William Cornwallis to shift the infobox from that of a military person to an officeholder infobox. Having editted quite a few military personnel from the period I have found that it is more common for them have infoboxes for military personnel. Their offices as MPs were quite often merely sinecure positions and they did little more than add votes to whichever party that their benefactor belonged to. The information about his having been an MP is available at the bottom of the page and it would make more sense, in my opinion, to leave the infobox as one of a military person. I would appreciate your thoughts, Corneredmouse (talk) 13:09, 21 December 2010 (UTC) I think I'll leave it as it is. The infobox doesn't detract from the article and contains the same information. I appreciate your time and consideration in replying. All the best, Corneredmouse (talk) 13:43, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:7th King County Executive - Kurt Triplett.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:7th King County Executive - Kurt Triplett.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. Proposed deletion of Javier Rojo[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Javier Rojo has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Edinburgh Wanderer 22:54, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Cape Provincial Arms.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Cape Provincial Arms.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:27, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
