Duplicate Files on Wiki and Commons[edit]

Hey, I noticed you are tagging a lot of files for deletion. Thats fine, but there is an easier way if they are being removed because one exists on Commons. Place this on the file page on Wikipedia:

{{db-nowcommons|1=File:FILE NAME ON COMMONS|date=DATE IN THIS FORMAT:20:08, 17 November 2014 (UTC)}}

Use this tag on the files that exist on commons as well as wikipedia, and they will be speedy deleted by an Admin. Thanks!EoRdE6 (talk) 20:13, 17 November 2014 (UTC)

Thanks! I'll try it out... Arthunter (talk) 20:20, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
By the way, as @@Magog the Ogre advised me, if the newer file is a different format, then the old file cannot be tagged with this tag (is if the file was updated to SVG). In this situation nominate them for deletion.EoRdE6 (talk) 23:22, 18 November 2014 (UTC)
No problem, was worth a try. Arthunter (talk) 01:35, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

London Illustrated News images[edit]

1911 Redmond Barry

Hi, I noticed that you have been moving images to commons such as File:1911 Redmond Barry.jpg where as you can see from the link, copyright is claimed. I hope you are satisfied that these actions will not cause any problems. Graemp (talk) 14:12, 26 November 2014 (UTC)

@Graemp, all copyirght and license information is transferred with the file. If these files were moved before and deleted or rejected, it should have been tagged on the file's page. That said, it should be acceptable. Arthunter (talk) 15:09, 26 November 2014 (UTC)
That is your call. My call is to continue to upload ILN images to wikipedia with the request not to copy to commons. Graemp (talk) 15:26, 26 November 2014 (UTC)

Don't forget to add {{subst:ncd}}[edit]

When you copied File:1910 GB RL Lions.jpg, you forgot to add {{ncd}}. Please do not forget to do this. --Stefan2 (talk) 19:17, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

You can just mark files now at Commons with {{db-f8}} for speedy deletion. No need to bring it to FFD. – czar 19:39, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
