One Tree Hill Character list[edit]

Hello, the character list tables should not look like that. However, I will agree that it should be on the page. Please take a look at List of NCIS cast members. Yes, I know there are no citatations on the page, however, it looks cleaner. Also look at List of Bones characters. I'm not saying that you need to get rid of the tables, it just needs cleaned up. - Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 20:44, 17 December 2016 (UTC)

The character tenures are a useful guide for the readers. Characters such as Alex Dupre who was on the show from Seasons 7-9 was credited as a main, however she did not appear in all episodes, in fact, for the last season she only appearing in two episodes. Some would argue that she wasn't a "main" for that season. Giving the character tenures helps the reader understand how many episodes that character was present for, given the fact it's hard when an actor is given "starring" credits mid season, making it hard for tables to be accurate when saying they were a "main" for that said season.
I guess, if it comes down to it, each character will need to be cited in the "Notes" section underneath the table to inform readers of the accurate details of their tenure. B.Davis2003 (talk) 06:11, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
The table you provided is too complicated. And regardless of if a character had only appeared in one or two episodes in a season, if they are credited as a main cast member, they should be noted in the table as a main cast member. That's how majority of tables are done on Wikipedia, therefore the table I have provided complies with Wiki Rules and is easy to read. MSMRHurricane (talk) 07:36, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
You didn't read my comments properly obviously MSMRHurricane. B.Davis2003 (talk) 08:14, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
No, I have. And it's an overly done table, like I've said. Regardless of how "helpful" it is, it's not needed. And please do not accuse me of breaking any rules, seeing as you too, have been engaged in an edit war with me before. Your table VIOLATES wiki rules, can you understand that? And I am updating it so it complies, understand? MSMRHurricane (talk) 18:07, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
per MOS:TVCAST "The cast listing should not contain an episode count, e.g. (# episodes), to indicate the number of episodes in which the actor/character appeared. " so you are definitely violating Wiki rules with that table. It should be in the traditional Main/Recurring/Guest format with a notes section underneath if cast members are credited as main in episodes they don't appear. January 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm AlexTheWhovian. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Reign (season 4), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page.

Necessary Note: Please read WP:CITINGIMDB and WP:RS/IMDB - IMDb is an unreliable source given that it has no professional standing as a user-edited source, much like Wikipedia is, or any fan-based Wikipedia. Incorrect information is added to IMDb all the time. If you continue to add the episode, you will have violated WP:3RR and you will be reported, and possibly blocked, for edit-warring.
Alex|The|Whovian? 08:28, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of One Tree Hill characters. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Alex|The|Whovian? 11:31, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

Reign (TV series)[edit]

Hi, I just reverted your edit to Reign (TV series). The reason is because it appears to me that listing those four characters with the title of "Lady" is inconsistent with the naming of the rest of the cast, eg. Catherine isn't listed as Queen Catherine, Narcisse isn't listed as Lord Narcisse. If we can discuss it, it would be much better than continuing to revert each other. Colours[edit]

Please read MOS:NAVBOXCOLOR prior to disagreeing with colour changes of season articles as you did with all Pretty Little Liars season articles. The most prominent colour is to be used for the colour scheme of the article. Brocicle (talk) 11:19, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

I don't need to. I revered the changes back to their original "correct" state. See the edit history before you revert. B.Davis2003 (talk) 11:40, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
I did see the edit history, that is not the most prominent colour. For further clarification see this discussion here [1] or Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Television#Formatting. Also don't edit war over the infobox colour. It is clear what the most prominent colour is based on the images, if you have an issue with it then take it to the talk page. Brocicle (talk) 11:57, 15 May 2017 (UTC)

Raffi Barsoumian[edit]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Raffi Barsoumian. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. — Smjg (talk) 11:38, 30 May 2017 (UTC)

This is concerning the move of two actors from the guest cast to the recurring cast that you have performed numerous times against other editors putting those two actors back in the guest cast, claiming they have not appeared in enough episodes to qualify as recurring (5). I suggest you discuss on the article's talk page - and I've set up a topic there, Talk:Pretty Little Liars (season 7)#Possible edit warring concerning the move of two actors/characters to the recurring list. Replaceable fair use File:Melbourne Skyline c2016.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Melbourne Skyline c2016.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Train2104 (t • c) 08:58, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

Your removal of "Special Guest" designation in List of One Tree Hill characters[edit]

Hi,

So, I've only verified Paul Johansson and Barbara Alyn Woods so far, but they are both credited as "Special Guest" in the seasons you've removed that credit from them. I've included screenshots from Netflix, and anyone in the US with Netflix can verify this.

Given you are categorically wrong on both of these, I'm going to assume you are also wrong concerning the other cases where you've stripped that credit and ask you to revert yourself. As the person making the change, the onus is on you to justify it, and from what I can see, you definitely haven't. —Joeyconnick (talk) 19:49, 24 June 2017 (UTC)

Upon further investigations, you are correct with Johansson and Woods. You are incorrect with Harris and Coletti as evident below:

Just and FYI - You can't remove an edit war warning until the issue has been resolved.

July 2017[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Dance Moms. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. AussieLegend () 05:41, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

  • You have been around long enough to know not to edit war. When an edit of yours is reverted, don't simply restore it. Discuss it on the article's talk page, and while discussion is underway, respect WP:BRD and WP:STATUSQUO. --AussieLegend () 05:42, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
It has already been discussed on the talk page. Hence my comments that the timeline table has pros for usage. Please look at that before reverting my edits. B.Davis2003 (talk) 09:31, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
There is no consensus in the old discussion, which consisted of only 4 posts over a 14 month period. There is a single suggestion and a single response, neither of which addressed the guideline, in a discussion that started because former cast members had been improperly removed. Regardless, consensus can change and MOS:TV has changed since then. There is a new, current discussion at Talk:Dance Moms#Ratings graph but no cast timeline. That is where any comments should be made. --AussieLegend () 10:39, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

Table widths[edit]

I have reverted this edit because, to be blunt, it's quite wrong. When formatting tables, column widths have to be mathematically correct. You can't just randomly change column widths. The most basic requirement is that column widths have to "add up". Your edit had 4 season columns 8% wide and one at 7%, which is inconsistent at best, but that's not the biggest problem. Together, those columns total 39% width but the "seasons" column, which overrides the individual column widths, was set to 28% which shrinks the columns. You set the maximum width of the table to 100% but the widths of the "Name", "Portrayed by", "Position", "Assignment" and "Seasons" columns only added up to 89%. This causes the table to be distorted. When I last edited the table in March,[2] I set the column widths correctly. However, an edit to the table in September failed to adjust the width of the "Seasons" column and the total table width. This is what caused the problem you observed and your edits exacerbated this. --AussieLegend () 13:56, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 30[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Chicago (franchise), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chicago Fire (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
