KTM motorcycle articles

Please pause creation of these articles, to allow consensus as to whether they should all be included to be established.

It is not usual for every model or product by a manufacturer to be included in Wikipedia. Furthermore, these articles have no substantial content other than links to the manufacturer. Therefore it is highly likely they qualify for speedy deletion; continuing to create them is disrupting Wikipedia.

Your articles are all very closely related. Does the KTM 400 LC4 EGS‎ need to have a separate entry from KTM 400 LC4? I would consider making one or two pages for all your entries and consolidating all the information. Hairhorn (talk) 20:27, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for stopping! I have nominated the remaining template entries for deletion. I concur entirely with the editor above - consider grouping similar models into a single page. Place-holder articles

OK, let us not fight over this. you have again created a list of template-articles which, as they are, do not qualify for retention in the encyclopedia. They have been marked for speedy-deletion (not by me) and may not survive, though I will not again remove them personally. Placing an {{underconstruction}} template may not help, if it becomes apparent that no work is taking place. If it is really technically impossible for you to create one article at a time, will you please post a comment here giving some clue as to your plans for these articles; which, I may say, are beyond doubt intrinsically perfectly good articles. The articles most recently nominated (by me) are those remaining from yesterday, created before BenjaminPQ was asked to stop - they are not newly created articles. In fact, when asked to stop he did so immediately, although he has placed the template at Talk:KTM for recreation in future. A section above (KTM motorcycle articles) suggests creating articles for the models in groups. I42 (talk) 19:22, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

OK, and fair enough. You will note my commitment not to delete these articles, though I did do so yesterday. They seemed to be the same articles, but as all of the model codes are similar I will not argue the point. Both I and another administrator have declined the deletion, because there is enough information in the template to write articles from them -- and because underconstruction tags should be honoured for at least a few days. People are perfectly entitled to write the template first if they choose. I would tend to do that myself for articles of this sort, and so do many other good editors.
