August 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm MikeWazowski. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Paul Rieckhoff without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, MikeWazowski (talk) 14:26, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

still learning the rules

Decline reason:

OK, then, rule 1: Don't set up new accounts and claim they're other people. — Daniel Case (talk) 16:16, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I noticed I ( BigbonesABC had recently been blocked. I am attempting to appeal that block please. I left a message on MikeWazowski's talk page but did not hear back. I just registered my account, and I think I explained most of my changes in proper wiki terms. But I am still trying to figure out rules here. Thanks very much.

Request reason:

I have only created one other account in my time on Wikipedia. That account was not verified. I now longer use it and I created this new one--which has an email etc. Please advise how I can proceed going forward to unblock my account. Thank you.

Decline reason:

You were confirmed by checkuser as being DD214. Your only area of interest is the same as DD214. You're obviously the same person, so don't even bother. -- Atama 16:47, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Thanks to both of you, but that other account is not me. But I may share an IP with that and lots of other people who work at the same building--which is in a major urban area. And unlike that account, I gave reasons for my change. If it is decided to again reject my request to change my blocked status, please at least review the content of changes I made and the thread of changes made recently on this entry. Newyorkalan (who made the original, highly-biased changes in question) has also only posted on this Wikipedia entry--and one other. It is not at all in a NPOV. And the entries made by that account do not meet RS standards. And neither of the sources linked were represented here with NPOV. A neutral party should review the whole thing. Thank you.

Decline reason:

I have reviewed the editing history of Paul Rieckhoff. I see multiple, identical reverts from multiple accounts confirmed as using the same IP address, and one of those reverts (yours) uses the exact same edit summary as another revert. Given that checkuser confirms the same IP address was doing these same edits on the same article with the same edit summary suggests either one user with multiple accounts or a meatpuppet situation with multiple users colluding. Either way, that is grounds for an indefinite block. I suggest you review WP:OFFER, wait six months as it suggests, and then post another unblock request and come clean about your past activity. Please do not waste our time with further unblock requests before then. ~Amatulić (talk) 16:29, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
