- @Cinaroot undid my close. some advice: editor seems to have gone silent and taken a step back, which is wise on their part. you could do the same for a bit and reengage with topic later. as someone who has also suffered from getting caught up in heated discussion, its useful to take a break for an extended period of time on other topic areas. [edit]I see that you accused someone of casting aspersions at ANI yesterday. I suggest reading Wikipedia:Casting aspersions. Casting aspersions ("An attack on somebody's reputation or good name" [1]) is much closer to a character assassination campaign than merely disagreeing with someone or accusing them of breaking the rules. The reason for pinging you
[edit]I picked three non-admin editors involved in a related issue at WP:ANI. Another editor involved in that dispute did not need to the pinged because (1) we know his/her opinion because he/she recently reverted the mention of it in the lead, (2) we can be certain that he/she has it on his/her watch list.-- Toddy1 (talk) 19:32, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
