Editor of the week barnstar.svg Editor of the Week
Your ongoing efforts to improve the encyclopedia have not gone unnoticed: You have been selected as Editor of the Week, for excellent work in a largely un-rewarded subject area. Thank you for the great contributions! (courtesy of the Wikipedia Editor Retention Project)

User:Northern Antarctica submitted the following nomination for Editor of the Week:

As a 6-year veteran editor with over a 150,000 edits, Boleyn has quietly been creating tons and tons of disambiguation pages. This is an important area of work, but it doesn't generally get much attention, so Boleyn is probably well overdue for a bit of recognition. After all, users who faithfully work to improve the encyclopedia — yet don't get very much of the limelight — are the people that this award was designed for.

You can copy the following text to your user page to display a user box proclaiming your selection as Editor of the Week:

You are the disambiguation guru. It used to be piped links were discouraged on disambiguations pages. That made sense to me. Is that still what is recommended? HMS Toronto has several piped links. Should I unpipe them?

Thanks! Geo Swan (talk) 20:13, 4 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi, Geo Swan, I hope you're well. Yes, WP:PIPING is still discouraged, so that readers can see the real link and have less chance of ending up at a disambiguation page again by mistake, and can more easily go directly to the right page. On the page you mentioned, some of the links need a blue link on their line (WP:DDD). Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 20:20, 4 October 2014 (UTC)

A DAB policy question[edit]

Since you are the DAB Page Queen, I wonder if you could answer a question for me. While disambiguating links, I often stop to edit the dab pages themselves. When I ran across one that added foreign text to some of the links, I removed the non-English characters, thinking it was an anomaly. But now I've found another such page, and it made me wonder if I was too hasty on the earlier edit. MOS:DAB had nothing to say about it. Is there any established policy about having non-English names or words on dab pages? How do you handle these? TIA — Gorthian (talk) 04:03, 14 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi, Gorthian. I don't like these, but I don't always remove them. I think the most relevant part of MOS:D for them is MOS:DABENTRY: Keep the description associated with a link to a minimum, just sufficient to allow the reader to find the correct link. In many cases, the title of the article alone will be sufficient and no additional description is necessary. Often it is perfectly clear what the difference is and the translation is superfluous. However, with languages I don't understand, I err on the side of being generous when deciding whether it is definitely unneeded. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 17:01, 15 May 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for your thoughtful response; that's very helpful. — Gorthian (talk) 18:23, 15 May 2016 (UTC)

Can you patrol/review these articles[edit]

Hi, I saw that you were the one of the most frequent patrollers this year. I hope this is not too much bother to ask you. Would it be possible for you to patrol these articles that I've recently created and which still haven't been patrolled (a week later)? Thanks! Avaya1 (talk) 18:48, 1 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Avaya1, thanks for creating these. I've looked at them but I'm afraid I'm not the right person to patrol them, they're on topics of potentially dubious notability and in an area I don't have the experience for, I'm relatively new to patrolling. They will be patrolled in the next few weeks though by someone. Sorry I couldn't help. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 06:41, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewing[edit]

Wikipedia New page reviewer.svg
Hello, Boleyn.

I noticed you've done some constructive editing recently.
Would you please consider becoming New Page Reviewer? Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies, currently Wikipedia needs experienced users at this task. (After gaining the flag, patrolling is not mandatory. One can do it at their convenience). But kindly read the tutorial before making your decision. Thanks.—usernamekiran(talk) 12:29, 5 July 2017 (UTC)

Thanks For reviewing the page[edit]

Hi Boleyn, Thanks for reviewing the page [[1]]. I saw your message. Can you let me know what do you mean by addressing the tags ? Hemant.behera (talk) 19:08, 6 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Hemant.behera. If you look at the article, you'll see it's tagged for only having one source and for the source not being inline (see WP:INLINECITE). Those are the issues other editors have raised. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 19:17, 6 July 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for your help. I have added few more sources and references. Can you please review it and let me know if it needs any more improvements ?Hemant.behera (talk) 19:38, 6 July 2017 (UTC)

Hello, I can see some sources which aren't WP:INLINECITE, a note that is written as a reference, and a reference which needs a link (census 2011) or further info. The issues with lacking sources inline remains, but thanks for your work. The 3 sources at the bottom should be inline, although I guess the other wikis are probably not WP:RELIABLESOURCES and so probably shouldn't be used as refs. Boleyn (talk) 20:23, 6 July 2017 (UTC)

Thank you, Mduvekot. Boleyn (talk) 04:50, 7 July 2017 (UTC)

I've already given you a barnstar above, but I do want to thank you, especially after the crap at the village pump and the AfD that followed. Currently the ACTRIAL conversation is consuming time that I would prefer to spend patrolling, so I am even more grateful for the work you are doing to shrink the backlog. You really are a credit to our project. TonyBallioni (talk) 00:37, 8 July 2017 (UTC)

Thanks, TonyBallioni. I hate all that kind of negativity, but I suppose I edit so much that at some point someone will object to one of my edits. I'm glad there's so much support for the article at AfD. Coming to the project at this stage, I'm not too jaded by the backlog and not that interested in whether policies are changed, but it will be interesting to see what difference ACTRIAL will make and then hopefully the focus can get back to editing. Thanks again for your kindness, Boleyn (talk) 16:18, 9 July 2017 (UTC)

Acharagma aguirreanum merge[edit]

Obviously a good idea, the Redlist source makes it clear they are synonyms. Thank you, User:Boleyn, for spotting my mistake, and apologies for needlessly creating a page rather than moving the old one to the now-standard name. I've merged it, and also redirected Gymnocactus aguirreanus to the merged page. In future I'll try to remember to check for synonymic names, it's far less work, especially for you! HLHJ (talk) 16:36, 9 July 2017 (UTC)

Thanks, HLHJ. I've created many articles on people which turned out to be an alternate spelling on an existing article, it's easily done. Thanks for your hard work resolving the issue. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 17:56, 9 July 2017 (UTC)

Wicklow Rounds[edit]

I do not have any pages called "Wicklow Rounds"; I do have one called "Wicklow Round". My "Wicklow Round" page already has multiple inline citation within the first paragraph, referring to my sources. So, I have no idea why anyone would be threatening to delete the page. Eblana (talk) 21:47, 9 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Eblana, thanks for responding so quickly to my message. My message mentioned Wicklow Round. From looking at it just now, it does not have clear inlnie citations. It has one inline citation, but without a reference section and a reflist, it's lost among the external links. External links is always a slightly ambiguous section, as some people mean it as 'here is further reading, it's not been used in the article' and others mean it as 'these have helped give information for the article, but I haven't added them inline'. No one is 'threatening' to delete the page, it is awaiting review. I didn't review it, but instead messaged you to let you know of the concerns so you would have time to make edits, if you so wish, before it is reviewed, to give the article the best chance. My initial assessment was that sourcing lacked clarity and notability was unclear. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 21:56, 9 July 2017 (UTC)

Adams Hollow Creek[edit]

Boleyn, thank you for your review of my new article. I'm a bit new and appreciate those folks who have reviewed and made suggestion. Not sure what you mean by 'Please see if you can help address tags'. I noted that Hemant.behera asked a similar question, but, still not sure. I did revisit my page and noted I forgot to add categories, so, I added them. Not being a great writer, I appreciate any help. Thanks, Are1718 (talk) 02:47, 10 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Are1718, thanks for creating these articles. Adams Hollow Creek has sources, but they're not particularly WP:RELIABLESOURCES - they're not too bad though. I'll have a look and see what else I can add. Welcome to Wikipedia, we've got lots of areas we're lacking articles in and lots of articles which need improvement, so your contribution really helps. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 17:19, 10 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Wikibot, I couldn't find any of your creations in the backlog, but please let me know if there are specific ones you want me to look at. I wouldn't worry about them not being reviewed straightaway though, the article is still live. Boleyn (talk) 06:33, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

Santo Tomás[edit]

Hi Boleyn,

I'm not sure how to address the tags. I've tried rephrasing things to make it sound less promotional but that's just not my style of writing. I'm proud of Santo Tomás and what it's become so everything I write is going to be in hopes of increasing awareness and visitors.

In regards to the limited sources, the awareness of Santo Tomás is minimal, the information is lacking and much of it is repeated online. It's a vacation destination that has grown tremednously in the past 10 years but it's still very much a word of mouth kind of place.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Raeann empire (talk) 19:29, 10 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Raeann empire, thanks for your message. It may be your natural writing style, but I don't doubt you can add neutral-sounding information, it just might be harder. The important point is to make sure that all the information is WP:VERIFIABLE rather than WP:ORIGINALRESEARCH. The reality is that if an article sounds like it is trying to promote the subject (which you do want to do), there's always a good chance of it getting deleted or cut down drastically. I'm glad to hear the destination is doing well, but this is a neutral encyclopaedia. Other places, like social media, are places you can write your impressions of a place and try to promote it, in the way that you would like. Wikipedia just isn't for that. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 06:29, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

I'm sorry[edit]

I'm learning how to use this site, is there a way to add myself to the data base? Thoth619 (talk) 11:04, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Thoth619, welcome! There's no database to add yourself to, you can now start editing. You can put some information about yourself on your user page (User:Thoth619), but the info you added at Leslie Armstrong wasn't appropriate for an encyclopaedia - add whatever you want on social media/blogs etc., but just not on this site. Feel free to contact me if you have further questions. Boleyn (talk) 11:59, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

Template:Steve Roach[edit]

I noticed you redirect a number of articles. Are the rest notable?Dodecker (talk) 00:06, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Dodecker, no, none of them are, and it's on mt to-do list to finish the rest - there are just so many. Boleyn (talk) 05:30, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Please Save My Earth (disambiguation)[edit]

No problem, it will only take you a minute to re-create when there are sufficient entries. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 18:57, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Newsletter[edit]

Hello Boleyn, thank you for your efforts reviewing new pages!
Wikipedia New page reviewer.svg

Backlog update:

  • The new page backlog is currently at 18,511 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
  • Some editors are committing to work specifically on patrolling new pages on 15 July. If you have not reviewed new pages in a while, this might be a good time to be involved. Please remember that quality of patrolling is more important than quantity, that the speedy deletion criteria should be followed strictly, and that ovetagging for minor issues should be avoided.

Technology update:

  • Several requests have been put into Phabractor to increase usability of the New Pages Feed and the Page Curation toolbar. For more details or to suggest improvements go to Wikipedia:Page Curation/Suggested improvements
  • The tutorial has been updated to include links to the following useful userscripts. If you were not aware of them, they could be useful in your efforts reviewing new pages:

If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, go here. TonyBallioni (talk) 03:48, 14 July 2017 (UTC)

Your ANI-report[edit]

It took some digging, but I think I have augmented your request somewhat. Please correct it if I was mistaken. Thanks. Kleuske (talk) 22:43, 14 July 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for taking the time to do that, Kleuske. Boleyn (talk) 05:17, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

Order of the Ermine[edit]

thanks for the reminders. I've just quickly created a stub entry for Order of the Ermine (Naples). Note, however, that I neither have expertise nor interest to further develop articles on this topic, sorry – originally, I just wanted to fix an inaccuracy :-) -- Lemzwerg (talk) 07:26, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

Several of the Jordanian football bios that you have moved to draft space were not created by Hishamhmk (talk · contribs), eg. draft:Mansheyat Bani Hasan has been around since 2011. They can be identified in this list by the absence of an entry in the left hand, !owner column. I have no strong feelings but I invite you to consider whether to move them back. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:50, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, RHaworth, I really appreciate your hard work on this. I'll look them over and yyou may well be right. There are big issues though with these looking like they were created by different people but were actually sockpuppets of Yalladar. I have raised my concerns with Hisham that he began his account the same week Yalladar was blocked, producing very similar articles on the same topics. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 15:36, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

From Hishamhmk:

I recently added sources and references. Why you keep deleting the pages, What do they wants more?

Hi Hishamhmk, thanks for your message. I appreciate the time and trouble you've been going to, improving the articles in draftspace and then only moving them across when they are ready. The couple of articles I've seen from you today (those I sent you messages about at user talk:Hishamhmk, met the criteria for articles and I was really pleased - nothing more I wanted. I'm not sure what you mean in your question. I moved many articles from mainspace to draftspace last night, none today. Those I moved had no references or no clear references, and nearly all were biographies of living people, where we need to be really careful about using unverified information. Perhaps some articles nominated yesterday were only deleted today and you're referring to that? Also, although they no longer show up in Wikipedia for a reader, you can still see them, add inline citations and move them back into the mainspace, just as you have been doing. If this doesn't answer your question, please let me know what you're referring to. I'm happy to help with adding references too. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 15:27, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

From Hishamhmk:

Hi Boleyn, Sorry for bothering but the articles that i edited it today they were moved to the draft space by RHaworth, you told me they met the criteria for articles. if they met the criteria why he moved them?

  • I did not move them. I deleted them because at a quick glance they seemed to be identical to the stubs in draft space. In any case it is just untidiness to duplicate stuff between draft: space and mainspace. So, for example, go to draft:Yasser_Al-Rawashdeh add to it anything more that you think is needed then put {{subst:submit}} on the top of the page and wait. Let someone else decide if the article is genuinely ready for mainspace. It they think so, they will move it for you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:25, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

Hishamhmk, RHaworth is far more experienced than me in this area, and her advice above is sound. Boleyn (talk) 16:44, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

RHaworth thank you for the replay, i will try to put {{subst:submit}}.

Hello customer support team, First of all, i would like to thank you in advance for your help and support Themouadrahali (talk) 14:42, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
Hey Boleyn. It seems like the new comer user has specifically targeted editors from NPP/R project. Including @Winged Blades of Godric, TonyBallioni, Kvng, and Rentier:
Wikipedia... Never stops getting weird. —usernamekiran(talk) 14:52, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
I was monitoring the edit filter log and noticed that this user is repeatedly triggering filter 643 (Persistent sockpuppetry; the filter is private), including on this page. —MRD2014 14:55, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
@MRD2014: any idea who can be the sock-master? —usernamekiran(talk) 15:05, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
I have no idea. —MRD2014 15:22, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

Nope, always remains weird! I like barnstars though, and although I've never thought of myself in a customer support role, I like the idea :) Boleyn (talk) 15:20, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

That was FIM who removed it from my talk page—I did thank him though. I honestly didn't care if it was removed or not, though. also, I'm pretty sure somebody beat me to speedying the article linked. RileyBugz会話投稿記録 16:27, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

As soon as he gave me a barnstar, I saw his contrib history; the article wasnt there. And Fortuna removed a barnstar maybe cuz he was jealous, as he didnt get a barnstar for being a good admin. Face-tongue.svg
Maybe i should include on my userpage and/or talkpage that I am not an admin. A few editors have already mistaken me for being one. And unfortunately like 90% of barnstars given to me came from socks Cry.png
And I think we (NPR) are more like welcoming committie, and sort caretakers of new editors. —usernamekiran(talk) 19:02, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

St. Michael - St. Clement School[edit]

Hello, I just noticed your request at WP:RFPP and would like to make a suggestion: before the redirect, the article could have also qualified for WP:CSD#A7. Would it be possible to consider that option if the request for protection fails? jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 17:09, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

Thanks, Jd02022092, I'll try that. My experience in nominating articles like this for prod or AfD is they end up redirected to the diocese/town/school district, even if there's no info in that article, and my requests for deletion have failed. However, this may be different. Thanks for looking into it. Boleyn (talk) 17:15, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

About Alphonse Songolo[edit]

Thank you for reviewing the article I wrote for Alphonse Songolo. For some reason you tagged it as having "insufficient inline citations". Was this by mistake? I don't mean to be rude, but I can't for the life of me understand what is wrong with the article's citation style. It's in Harvard format. Could you please explain this tagging for me, and how I may improve the article in more precise terms? -Indy beetle (talk) 18:44, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Indy beetle. This article is unusual, it seems to have 2 reference sections ('Citations' and 'References'), which should be amalgamated. A more usual (and clearer to the reader) way of doing it is as the refs section is at Colin Clark (politician). This is the usual way - all references WP:INLINECITED. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 19:40, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

There is nothing incorrect about this style. It's one of the styles recommended by Template:Harvard citation documentation. One advantage of this style is that it allows an editor to refer to different pages/sections of a source for a specific citation without having to repeat all the other information of a source. It is for this reason that I began using this style after Talk:Black Sea Raid/GA1. I have managed to get Operation Grandslam to achieve Featured Article Status, with both the scrutiny of the FA review and an A-class review from Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history, while using this citation style. Kierzek, an experienced editor with many achievements under their belt, recommended I begin using the sfn model (instead of harvnb) while I was editing Civil Rights Address. As for clarity to the reader, one can simply click on the linked shorthand citation and it highlights the full name of the source.
In short, I find there there is nothing unusual nor unclear about this style. In fact, I would be tempted to say that it is recommended in some scenarios for being more precise. Furthermore, nothing about the style violates WP:INLINECITE, which notes that "[i]nline citations are added using either footnotes (long or short [emphasis added]) or parenthetical references." The word "short" is Wikilinked to another section of the page, WP:CITESHORT which totally supports the use of the style with two separate sections. The tag on Songolo is incorrect and I would appreciate it if you removed it. -Indy beetle (talk) 20:18, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
Since I was mentioned, I will make a short comment. The way IndyBeetle did it is not incorrect; although, a little better in presentation is to how I have changed it: References→Citations→Bibliography. How it is presented now is common in many GA and FA articles and as for the sfn (Shortened FootNote) format, it is commonly used, as well. See: [2] or here: Help:Shortened footnotes, for further information. Cheers, Kierzek (talk) 23:23, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

Ways to improve Amadora Este (Lisbon Metro)[edit]

Hey there, I am aware of the lack of references, the problem is that the reference I put there is from the offical website, so theres not really any other reference I could actually use to improve the page. Ligaanet (talk) 10:45, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Ligaanet, thanks for getting back to me. If you've looked for othere sources, and can't find them, it's probably not WP:NOTABLE. Usually stations would meet WP:GNG. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 10:47, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
So as I understand, referencing only the official source might put the page in danger of not being worthy of existing as an independente page. I'll look into it, it's a bit hard to find references to a station built in 1959 for example. Thanks for your help. Ligaanet (talk) 10:53, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

Davidson Street station![edit]

Hi Boleyn, thanks for wanting to improve Davidson Street station. What makes references not enough to establish notability "at the moment"? Is there some reason not to trust reference right now? And what would establish notability for a public transit stop? I've never seen the notability of public infrastructure challenged, but I'm sure there are things that don't need articles. Zr2d2 (talk) 16:47, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

Zr2d2, I mean that at the moment, it only has one WP:PRIMARYSOURCE and so it could do with additional references. There are articles on most stations like this, although I'm not sure what part of WP:NOTABILITY they meet, they do tend to be notable. I haven't tagged it for notability, just as would benefit from additional sources. Thanks for getting back to me and for taking the time to create this. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 17:43, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

I have unreviewed a page you curated[edit]

Hi, I'm Classicwiki. I wanted to let you know that I saw the page you reviewed, Manish Kumar Chaturvedi, and have un-reviewed it again. If you have any questions, please ask them on my talk page. Thank you.

Classicwiki (talk) (ping me please, I don't watch pages) 06:32, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Classicwiki, I'm not sure why this was unreviewed. I looked it over, agreed with the speedy deletion tag, so reviewed it and added it to my watchlist to monitor whether the speedy tag is removed. There us no point it sitting in the huge new page backlog, being looked over and over by other editors, and as there's a deletion tag, my understanding was that the no index tag remains? Boleyn (talk) 08:06, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Hey Boleyn, I have honestly no clue why I unreviewed it? Might have accidentally clicked. I agree with CSD tag. Apologies, Classicwiki (talk) (ping me please) 08:13, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Palazzo De Ballis[edit]

Hi, I read your notes about this page aand thank you. Biut I don't understand what I have got to do! This is is the English translation of the same page I wrote in Italian: could you be more clear and give suggestions about it? Thank you and regards.Pugliesig (talk) 07:45, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Thanks, Pugliesig, my error is now reverted. My concern was that instead of the more common references section, where someone can look up the number and then see the information they need to straightaway, this has an inline references section, a sources section (which expands on the references section, plus adds a source which doesn't seem to be inline), then also an external links section. It's less useful (and in my opinion, more awkward for the reader), but I shouldn't have tagged it. Thanks for taking the time to create this. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 08:15, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Autopatrolled right[edit]

Hi Boleyn, thanks for nominating so many users for the autopatrolled user right. In general this tool can be given out widely, but many of the users you have nominated are creating articles that need significant cleanup. Even though these articles are not deleted, it is still good to have eyes look them over. Try to make sure that the users you nominate are creating quality articles and could be called an "experienced editor" with clear understanding of Wikipedia policy. Thanks! Malinaccier (talk) 04:32, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Malinaccier, I have sampled the articles created by the editors, and all are ones I came across while reviewing and felt that those articles stood out as having not needed NPP. I will continue to try to identify good candidates, but my threshold may well be lower than others (in which case, it's good that I can't give the right, just nominate people for it.) I haven't heard before that they must be classed as an experienced editor, that's something I'll add to the list to look for (not that I would put forward someone I felt was inexperienced). Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 06:23, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

I've just looked over my nominations, more than half seem to have been accepted, so that's a step forward for the project, and actually by some failing, I've learnt something. I'm relatively happy with that 'pass rate' as someone who's inexperienced at this and still learning what will pass muster. Thanks, Boleyn (talk) 06:38, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, to be frank the consensus requirements are pretty vague: "The right is granted to experienced users who have demonstrated an understanding of Wikipedia policy on biographies of living persons, copyrights, verifiability and notability and have already created a good number of articles." It is certainly a judgment call. I would not say that you have failed in any sense—like you said, many of those you have recommended have been accepted. It just might be helpful to sharpen your criterion even more. In any case, keep at it and thanks for your contributions! Malinaccier (talk) 16:42, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

The Grange", Soldiers Hill, Ballarat[edit]

Hi Boleyn,

I have fixed the orphan that you pointed out. I can't see how I can provide any more source citation that I have. there are 66 footnotes on the article, all from correct sources. I am well aware that there is no point in being shoddy with these sources as that defeats a great deal of the purpose for creating the article in the first place. I am looking to provide two more articles on historic houses in Ballarat so hope that I am getting to hang of how to do things. Thanks for your efforts in making Wikipedia such a valuable source of information. Elektrikwerk (talk) 09:03, 19 July 2017 (UTC) Elektrikwerk

Hi, Eletrikwerk, thanks for your continued hard work on this. I think the tag placed by Silver Master on this article will have been for the referencing needing improving, rather than more references. For example, reference 1 is to another Wikipedia article, and Wikipedia can't be used as a reference. Reference 2 says 'Mary & Peter Morcom, grandchildren of owner, Alfred Thomas Darling', which sounds like WP:OR (original research) and not WP:V (verifiable for other editors and readers). WP:RELIABLESOURCES may help you with future articles. Thanks again, Boleyn (talk) 11:51, 19 July 2017 (UTC)

Ways to improve List of compositions by Erkki Melartin[edit]

Thanks for your suggestions, but there is a simple explanation for the absence of more sources. As you can see from the Literature, there is one source for this List of composition by Erkki Melartin. I would like to add some more, but unfortunately I am the only person on this planet Earth who has really studied the compositions by Erkki Melartin. That is why the work catalogue is the only source available, I'm sorry!

Update about Oshaco International Airport by Mohamed958543[edit]

Hi, Boleyn.

Is it okay to add links that aren't English as sources? I can't find English sources to link up in Oshaco International Airport page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mohamed958543 (talkcontribs) 12:36, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

I think so, the search engine should give people a half-decent translation and it shows that the coverage is there, Mohamed958543. If we didn't, it wouldn't be fair on topics from non-English speaking countries. Thanks for your hard work, Boleyn (talk) 17:28, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

Re: sources[edit]

Thank you for the reminders on my talk page. Secondary sources added to those fabulae pages and primary sources to Seneca's tragedies; they still remain stubs though. Michael! (talk) 20:03, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

Thanks, Michael!. The kind of articles you're taking the time to write aren't always easy to get beyond a stub, but I wouldn't worry about that. Thanks for adding more sources. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 20:06, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
