Burger King and dates[edit]

Hello, you have been changing copyright and trademark dates in articles related to Burger King. Unfortunately the information you are introducing is incorrect; the dates are based upon legal documentation on file with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, so please do not change them unless you can provide positive proof that the information is improper.

Also do not remove citations from the article, as that can considered improper. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 07:42, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of List of countries with Subway franchises[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article List of countries with Subway franchises has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Why is this on Wikipedia? Certainly seems rather listcrufty per WP:NOT.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Zachlipton (talk) 09:15, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

February 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from NBCUniversal. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Your edit on the List of Mad episodes[edit]

File:Disney XD.svg and Disney XD (Italy)[edit]

Please do not add non-free content to any article, such as you did with this image on that article, unless you are prepared to comply with (and in fact do) WP:NFCC #10c. If you have questions, ask. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 01:49, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

I am prepared to comply with (and in fact do) WP:NFCC #10c, Hammersoft. --BookDen 21:05, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

And once again you are violating WP:NFCC, this time at Disney Junior (Scandinavia) and Disney Junior (Latin America). Why? If you persist in violating our policies when you know full well what the requirements of those policies are both from this thread and from the comments you removed (example), you will very likely be blocked until such time as you agree to edit in compliance with our policies. If you have questions, ask. Proceeding ahead in violation of the policy is not an option. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 20:37, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Your recent edits (March 2011)[edit]

Please do not make any changes, including date changes, to articles without citing a reliable source. I reverted your recent edits to Tom and Jerry and Tom and Jerry: The Mansion Cat for this reason, as date changes need to be backed up with a reliable source. However, I also note that you have made other recent changes that need to be backed up by reliable sources. Please see Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources, Wikipedia:Verifiability, and Wikipedia:Citing sources for more details. Thanks, [|Retro00064|☎talk|✍contribs|] 01:40, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello BookDen, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Phil of the Future has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:59, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
