Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Rego Park, Queens. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Port Macquarie. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Largoplazo (talk) 16:18, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. I'm not associated with said site. Just because I shared the same last night is very presumptious. I don't know what you are talking about in reference to a nofollow attribute? Boyd435 (talk) 16:26, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Shared last name.

All of your article edits except those to Younes Kaboul have involved the businesses of members of a particular family of Boyds, which would make it obvious that you have an interest in promoting that family even if your user name were RubyRocket2468. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Boyd435. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Largoplazo (talk) 16:21, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
