File copyright problem with File:Claude Askew in Serbian uniform.jpg[edit]

It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. Thank you for getting in touch with me about this problem. But I do not understand what is missing. This photograph of my grandfather, Claude Askew, by an unknown (and clearly unknowable) photograper, has to have been taken sometime between 1916 and 1917. It has been passed down to me directly from my late aunt, Miss Gilian (Jill) Askew, youngest daughter of Major Claude Askew. As such I believe there can be no doubt about its being now free of copyright, due to both its provenance and age. But if I have somehow used the wrong terminology to explain this or in any other way describe or label the file, pleae let me know how I may be able to correct that. And you might like to compare this photograph with the one on the same page of his wife, Alice Askew, which does not appear to have been flagged in the same way.
