ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:22, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cat's Tuxedo. I'm just letting you know that I have listed two pages that you created, Ermolao Donà and Jacopo Foscari, at the Copyright problems noticeboard. The pages appear to be largely direct translations of these two sources: [1] [2]. Translations are derivative works, which means we can't add translations of copyrighted sources to Wikipedia. If you have any questions about this just let me know. MCE89 (talk) 10:22, 26 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ermolao Donà moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Ermolao Donà. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Boleyn (talk) 10:11, 1 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Infinite Possibilities
Is this real life? Yes! Is this going to be forever? No! Elvis is getting ready to leave the building and 2026 is about to be born, kicking and screaming. They say nothing gold can stay, but I say, don't listen to them, stay golden all the same. Here's to a new year of infinite diversity and beautiful combinations! Invitation to participate in a new RfC at Tetris

[edit]

Hello, I am inviting you to participate in an RfC currently being held at Talk:Tetris#RFC on How to Define Tetris. This RfC seeks to garner consensus on whether to define Tetris as a video game or a video game series and whether to add a footnote representing the contradicting sources.

Currently, the RfC has stalled with few participants. Given your participation at the prior RfC, which had a similar question but had an inconclusive closing comment, your input would be very much appreciated. Lazman321 (talk) 00:01, 28 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Note on your comment.

[edit]

Hi, @Cat's Tuxedo, this comment seems to be a bit passive aggressive in my opinion. Instead of judging them on their contributions, teach them (like what MPGuy did) on that the template's raw code does have it as th, which is what !scope=row does so it doesn't need it. If you think I am wrong, I am open to criticism. Thanks! Cowboygilbert - (talk) ♥ 01:44, 4 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Cowboygilbert: It definitely wasn't my intention. My assessment of the matter was completely sincere (which I get doesn't communicate well in text-only formats) and I tried making my point in the clearest way I knew how; in fairness and honesty, I'm hardly a programmer type, so MPGuy's point was hitherto unknown to me, and he certainly addressed the situation better than I did. Congratulations, Cat's Tuxedo! The list you nominated, List of Crash Bandicoot video games, has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best lists on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured list. Keep up the great work! Cheers, PresN (talk) via FACBot (talk) 23:25, 16 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Dream Zone

[edit]

On 6 February 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Dream Zone, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that 17-year-old video game developers Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin obtained a contract with Electronic Arts by cold-calling them and sending them a copy of Dream Zone? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Dream Zone. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Dream Zone), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.
