Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hello Chanueting, welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed your upload of Image:Pswastika.gif, thanks for joining us, you need to be aware that images need a tag or they will be marked for deletion as unsourced. Please check image copyright tag for advice on getting the right tag. Then edit the image page, type {{name of appropriate tag}} as the first line, add a description (like if you took the photo yourself or that it's a 'cover of Joe Blog's book "Whatever", published by...') and save. If you need help with this, please ask.

Below are some of the things I like to make people aware of;

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alf 09:18, 31 August 2005 (UTC).[reply]

Afrikakorps image[edit]

Thanks for reply on my talk page, Each image should have a tag, looking at other regiments badge images like Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler and Grossdeutschland Division, {{fairuse}} seems to be the right one to use. I'll add that marker to the file. If you need a hand putting the picture into the article you wanted it for, let me know. Alf melmac 07:53, 17 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I want to know that why do you state that "Copyright © 2005 by Estate of Leni Riefenstahl" ? Chanueting 13:42, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There's a lot of debate about the copyright status of "Triumph of the Will". Either it's A) PD B) owned by the state of Germany or C) owned by the estate of Leni Riefenstahl. It all comes down to Nazi copyright law and how the Bundesrepulik Deutschland either honors or does not honor it. To the best of my knowledge, there hasn't really been any litigation to guide us either. Long story short, I made a judgement call. Palm_Dogg`

The File:Boniface8.gif was the duplicate of commons:Image:Bonifacio-VIII.jpg, which was deleted for having no source. [1] Conscious 04:54, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: About Image:China Airlines B-18616 fire.jpg[edit]

Well, since he is claiming to be the creator ("This photo was taken by Thomas Mitchell and uploaded by the creator.") and that I couldn't find any similar image on the net, I think it is safe to assume good faith. But that's my mere opinion :) -- lucasbfr talk 08:14, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
