Your edits to a.o. Eli Long[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Eli Long do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

The page you link to does not contain more info (there may be more info somewhere else on that server, but you don't link to that). But then still, we are not a linkfarm, if the site contains info, please consider adding the info to the article and using the site as a reference (see the reliable sources guideline, and the citation guideline. Thanks. --Dirk Beetstra T C 18:09, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Dudley Moore. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Be cautious[edit]

- Right now, your account appears to exist only for adding one link to Wikipedia. That's against our spam rules, regardless of the merits of that link. If you're interested in improving Wikipedia, it would be better if you add information- not just a link- to Wikipedia, using the best available sources to verify that information. I'd hate for you to get into trouble when you're only trying to help. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:26, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

September 2008[edit]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Julian Scott, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for spamming. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. You have been blocked for a period of 3 hours from editing Wikipedia for continuing to add spam links. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia.

This is really going to be your last chance to start discussing. --Dirk Beetstra T C 14:09, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
