I noticed you reverted my edit to the Kate Westbrook link Rather than get into mutual reverting, I'll explain that the reason for changing the link was so that the Westbrook page would not refer to the page on the James Bond book author "Kate Westbrook" aka Samantha Weinberg. But I suppose the real resolution would be to write a basic page for Kate Westbook the musician? AllyD 18:53, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kate Westbrook[edit]

My apologies for the mistake. I was using an editing program WP:AWB that corrects spelling mistakes, and I didn't notice that it was "correcting" this one again. It wasn't a deliberate change on my part but I still should have spotted it and remembered the previous change. I'll try and steer clear of the Kate Westbrook page in future! Again, sorry for the inconvenience. (Your comment wasn't quite in the right place, but I found it anyway - you can just click on the "+" sign at the top of someone's User talk page and that will start a new section in the right place, and also mean that they get a banner saying that there is a new message waiting for them - as I didn't get the banner message, I didn't know you'd written to me until just now.) Welcome![edit]

Hello, Chris53, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!  —

Thanks for your gracious reply. I realised that no-one seems to have welcomed you properly, so (belatedly) consider yourself welcomed! (Apologies for the use of a standard-form greeting, but it does save some typing...) There are some useful pages to read there, introducing you to various sections of Wikipedia and how things work around here. You might also like to browse Wikipedia:WikiProject Music - a project dedicated to improving articles about musicians, with various sub-groups. Just be BOLD and jump right in - and when you've got a few more edits under your belt, you too can ask for the keys to WP:AWB! If there's anything I can do to help, please ask. Mike Westbrook[edit]

Hi Chris. I'm sure you are quite right. I would probably be able to find the right information, but by all means go ahead and correct it when you have the chance. Many thanks. Regards, Martinevans123 (talk) 22:52, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
