April 2020
[edit]Hello, I'm Robby.is.on. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Manu Dibango, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Robby.is.on (talk) 07:04, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
To clarify: 1. in 1933, when Dibango was born, Douala was in French Cameroon – whether we like it or not, 2. the change to "traditional Cameroonian music called Makossa" suggests he only played traditional Cameroonian music of the "Makossa" variety. This does not seem to be supported by a source in the article. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 07:07, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
I agree the "a literate woman" bit is problematic. Robby.is.on (talk) 12:27, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Conflict of interest
[edit]Hello Christinedkg, it appears that you may be related to AfricaHacks so you should have a look at our guidelines for editors with a conflict of interest. We for example strongly recommend submitting new articles for review with WP:AFC, they would for example point out problems with the promotional tone. It's also not clear from the sources whether AfricaHacks meets WP:GNG yet. See you around, – Thjarkur (talk) 19:46, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
Deletion nomination of AfricaHacks
[edit]Hello Christinedkg, I was unable to find significant independent coverage of AfricaHacks, which usually means that the company doesn't yet meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. I've therefore started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/AfricaHacks. The matter being discussed is whether it can be shown whether the subject has gotten significant coverage from independent sources. Your input is welcome, the discussion usually lasts for 7 days. If you do partake in the discussion, it's usually recommended to explain what your conflict of interest is.

AfricaHacks moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, AfricaHacks, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
